Modern Day Christ?

I was born and brought up as a christian. I have absolutely no doubt that God Exists. Unfortunately I also have no doubt that Man Exists also.

I have a simple belief... God created Everything.

God created Everything... think about it...

Good, Evil (and YES it DOES deserve the capital), Me, You, Trees, Kangaroos Whatever you care to mention.

How many of us believe in God?

How many believe in our neighbours?

Call Him what you will, the Universe is still too small.

I am too small to preach, too insignifigant, yet more powerful for the knowledge that even when I'm in the pub, I know.

I need not proclaim him in the hope that it will save me, the only people that do are throwing children off a sinking ship to save the boat.

There are too , far too, many different versions of worship.

All God wants is a belief in humanity, otherwise where is God?

Bad joke but it may concentrate your mind.

Do you want to be a Sects maniac?

God lives, there is no other reason for ChillieDogs!

I'm all in favour of kindness to newbies, but this is too good a chance to pass up - I vote we crucify him. There were some 8 inch nails somewhere, I remember seeing them.

We can buy some 12 inch nails at the local lumber yard. They would have better holding power. LOL

Once upon a time there was a midget who lived on the tenth floor of an apartment building. Every morning he would get up, get dressed, take the elevator down to the lobby, and go to work. Every evening he would come home, take the elevator up to the seventh floor, than walk up to the tenth floor and return to his apartment. Why?

Come to think of it, you're not supposed to reveal that he was a midget until everyone has given up.

That reminds me of another joke foul-minded boys used to pull when I was a kid. A guy would go up to, Sally Jones for example, and say, 'I know a good riddle', and Sally would hopefully say, 'Oh, good, I love riddles, let's hear it.'

Then he'd ask, 'Why is Sally Jones so popular?'

Well, the joke is, she's supposed to say, 'I give up.'

Another bad joke or something.

If Jesus is God and at the right hand of God then clearly he is "beside himself".

This is an appropriate thread to present a poem found in "Catching up with Jesus" by D. O'Murchu pg 107.

Poetic Echoes ...

We're good at laying down the conditions

And we judge by how well we achieve.

We must measure up and get to the top

Nothing less will appease those in charge.

Forever we're judging how well we can do

And ourselves we o ft judge through the others.

It's a game of no-win, amid failure and sin,

Subverting the grace of true freedom.

It's a human concoction, perverted and false,

A projection we force on the Godhead.

Conditions we lay for a ransom to pay

To the one who's outwitted our scheming.

There are no conditions for divine plenitude

For grace has demolished the broker.

A paradigm shift; both ancient and swift

Releases a new liberation.

Unconditionally loved we always have been.

The ridiculous grace of abundance.

And the same we must show to friend and to foe,

And that is the challenge so daunting.

It's all about trust and the risk that's involved

Beyond the control o f exertion.

Empowered by God's grace, this challenge we face.

We have power to transform the nations.

Shalom
