These are wonderful, Open. There are so many things you saw, I think the stained glass windows impressed me the most because of their beauty. You should write a little monologue about the pics and what you saw.

Oh I know, it's something else to see these places up close and personal. Some pictures just can't do justice to historical buildings or monuments, and you really need to be there, to fully appreciate them.

I do like King Ethelbert's cross-gartering. I could never get mine to stay tight, it always sagged by the end of the day.

Here are all the photos. With hindsight, I wish I'd taken my tripod. I took several shots using manual settings. Unfortunately, in manual mode, the anti-shake feature does not work. Ah well, enjoy as best you can.

What amazed me about the stained glass windows apart from their beauty, was the fact that they have survived in some cases 800 years or more

Well, no, there's a flag once he's logged in that allows anyone to see the show, but it needs ticking.

I reckon you've got a 'thing' about cross-gartering, Spot. Hehe.:sneaky:
I have reduced the size of the pics for viewing on the forum. If anyone wants a copy of a pic at full-size, let me know. I'll post a full-size copy for you to peel off in a PM. Most of them will blow your margins, but you can copy it and view it in your normal viewer.

A little something extra. Turn your speakers on for this. You might need to turn the volume up. This was just a test of one of my camera's features and is only short. But I hope you enjoy listening to this.
