movie about Ray Charles-was very impressed! I love the flashback thing to show how things in his childhood affected him later in life. I had a girlfriend who was into Ray Charles so much back in the late 60's and she was like a blonde calif gal back on the east coast-most kids in school never understood why she loved his music so much. Well the movie told a lot-much more than I never knew. Guy playing RAY was great. Also was so impressed with the scenes of him as a kid with his mom as a share cropper doing laundry for everyone.Gal who played his mom was great-really stood out-really deserves a mention at the oscars-I felt more in tune with her than any of the others. I was so amazed at what I did NOT know about his life. It really shows you HOW he came up with his most popular hits! I would like to see it again-very long but worth every minute!
