People are so damn wrapped up in outer beauty. You know what outer beauty means? Zip, zero, nada....absolutely nothing. You can take the most drop-dead gorgeous, drool-worthy hunk of man or woman and find out about them and realize that they are a complete a$$hole.

The bimbo in that picture is probably a royal bitch, just because she's pretty. So f*cking what if she's pretty? Is that how she gets by? On her looks? That gives intelligent, self-confident women everywhere a bad name.

I had a friend who when I first met him, didn't really think much of his looks. We were just friends, but as I got to know him and find out what he was like, I found him more and more attractive. We never hooked up, he was a married man, but he looked real good to me, because he was a good person.

The exact opposite is also true. We had a brother in the old club who when I first met him, thought he was the hottest thing walking after Bullet. Come to find out, he's a piece of sh!t who screws around with other brothers women, and laughs about it. The more I learn about this guy, the less I appreciate his looks. Now, he's ugly to me.

Beauty means nothing. It's surface. It's bought, it's contrived, it means absolutely zero.

Go to your reunion, Snooze. If it makes you feel better, get yourself dolled up by some professionals, but either way, we know you, you're a good person, and being a good person is a lot harder to come by than a person who focuses on their looks and is a good person. Screw that bitch. Don't let her bleached hair, her perfected makeup (that probably took her 4 hours to put on) and her posed picture intimidate you.

Not only that, I'd bet you a million dollars that when you see her up close in person under real lighting, she don't look as good as you think.

Snooze, I am never impressed with so called 'beautiful' women. I hate all that make up and unnatural hair styles. I guess I get this from my Mum who put on the minimum of make up to be presentable. False beauty is dull and a real turn off for me.

Look at her face ~ the forehead and chin are orange... but her neck is all red.

Snooze - I went to a big school reunion for the first time ever last year. And with loads of trepidation. Really, I got dragged there, screaming. I may be a bit weird - well I am - but it never occurred to me to think of what any of us would 'look like'. My insecure fear was that I would suddenly be faced with what everyone had achieved!! And be somehow found wanting in my life choices. (Of course I suppose there are some women who see achievement only in terms of physical appearance - but surely not too many).

In the event - I had a very interesting time. Some women looked wonderful. Some had not worn well. Some were dressed up to the nines. Others looked pretty ordinary. Some had kept in touch. Others hadn't. We'd been a motley group from the start and still were. Some were contented stay at home mums. Others had indeed risen to amazing career heights (we had diplomats, judges, doctors, misssionaries, the president of a Synagogue, journalists and professors), and many had battled illness and misfortune. We'd lost a few.



What we had in common was a load of shared memories. And the fact that we had all done a lot of living. It was good.
