We have so much in common with our neighbours in the states, but we also have many differences. For one, that I have noticed, is our sense of humour differs from the south. Thought it would be fun if we could come up with "How Canadians Stand out from the rest"

You can always tell a Canadian from an American because if you ask a Canadian what part of the states they come from they get rather irate. It's safer to ask what part of Canada they come from at least that way if you ask that of an American they don't take offence. Same with those from the antipodes-ask if they are New Zealanders to avoid giving offence.

LOL) I have some American friends that I used to play an online game with and they kidded we canadians ruthlessly (all in fun though!) re: the 'aboot' and the 'eh' etc. They had more fun kidding us about all of the snow though, the polar bears and igloos and mucklucks)

I laughed my butt off when an American friend emailed me this joke few years back. (rang so true!!)
Canada has finally committed to the war in the Middle East. The Canadian Government has decided to assist the USA in the war against terrorism.
They have agreed to send:
2 of their largest battleships
6,000 ground troops
6 fighter jets
AT THE CURRENT EXCHANGE RATE, the USA will receive:
1 canoe,
2 mounties and
12 flying squirrels
