Breakfast today is skillet-fried ham slices covered with creamy redeye gravy, crispy-fried homefries, a side order of fresh golden cornbread , ice-cold apple juice, chilled oranges(seedless kind so ya don't have to go pa-tooee with the seeds), fresh steaming cawfee, and rich hot cocoa with whipped cream and cinammon on top.
Now go through this day lookin at the bright side....tamorry is Friday and the weekend will be here before ya run out of terlet paper!!
Morning Clipper, I see that once again you are having a feast for Breakfast, and what's that cocoa, .........I love cocoa!! :yh_drool
And as you say the weekend is nearly upon us, so there is no reason for us all to be grumpy and depressed today, though your comment on loo paper, wouldn't apply to our household let me tell u!! :wah:

Is this a question about breakfast? Good one! I love bagels for breakfast with some jam and a strong cup of coffee, on occasion a good fry up cannot be beaten. A fry up involves rashers (bacon), sausages, black and white pudding, potato cakes, and beans. Toast tea and coffee are the extras.

Sorry, I forgot about that, well black puddings are made from congealed pigs blood and fat and oat grains, while white puddings are made from offal and oat grain. They set like long german bratwurst or something, then you slice them and fry them in a pan, I realize that upon hearing my description of them you will probably feel nauseaus, but as I live in the British Isles, I find them quite tasty, you know what we are like over here with food.

No, good point there, in fact eggs are an integral part of the "fry up" experience, but I hate eggs, so I leave them out myself. Many would consider this heresey.

Clipper wrote: After ya bake a nice ham in a good metal pan....First off ya drain all the melted FAT outta the pan..then ya put the pan onna stovetop burner, kick it on low,and commence to scraping the bottom of the pan with a good metal spatula. Add 2 cups of plain water as yer scraping. When yer done scraping all the good stuff from the bottom of that pan add 2 cups of mashed taters to the gravy.Keep it all on the heat and keep stirring till all the taters have dissolved into the gravy. Easy as pie, tastes great, and most of yer pan cleanup is done cuz ya scraped it down real good! DO NOT ADD SALT when yer doing this....this gravy has all the salt it needs coming from the brine that is in the ham.....Enjoy!!
I'd give that a go, but seeing as I'm Irish I'd eat anything meat-related.

I once mistaken headcheese for jello. Yep will never make that mistake again.
