Well thanks to relatively old newbie we got a bit riled up in the olde FG and quite a few new topics came about.

First I would like to comment on the Gang up tactics....We support each other.... we offer support to the offender yeah some of you offenders past and present have received PM's from FG members that likely have suggested you handle your situation in a simpler way and you may stand a better chance of survival. It is really up to you newbies to act approperately. As has been stated we are guests here, we act out of respect. I don't think FG uses gang up tactics, we don't call out obscene names, flow over into other threads over and over with slag, and trash. Though we are humans and we have made mistakes we are far from a gang up style of forum. We are more respectful support.

Some of our newbies have had valid debates and if they would just calm down, and take a step back and read how they upset others and tried again in a more respectful approach they would likely have a longer life span. How the heck do you think FG was built?? Certainly not on slagging.

Post count means different things to different folks here, some of our members post fluff in the fluff places, the pub, random thoughts, and the just for fun spots. These can take a post count through the ceiling. Conversation can increase a post count, and if one is having a conversation and it is a success and others respond to it, the post count shoots up. FG is a great place because it offers up a place to come and hang out and just post as we feel, from support to debates, to mindless chatter and they don't place overly strict guidelines upon us.

FG works well, we have 2 great admins and no mods. We have gradually expanded to a nice size, we are respectful and mindful, supportive and joking and that is a pretty good dynamics for a bunch of folks who come from all over the place and from all different walks of life. Of course we all have different views and that is what makes it interesting to come here regularly, but we all share one common bond... respect.

I always thought this forum was a place to make friends, have healthy debate, and most of all have fun. I've never seen a rule about all posts containing important information and no cheesiness. If I'm wrong could someone please post the rule for me to see about no fluff.

Well said Minks. We only have to look at the Forum 'Index' to see the diversity of topics here. There is something for every one no matter whatever their age, religion, race, sex or intellect etc. I blame it all on the weather myself !!!!

At the end of the day we all have choices.

We can be 'fluffy' posters or we can join in threads that require a bit more substance...we can do BOTH...however the mood takes us....I count myself lucky to have the freedom to either or neither or just creep off to the arcade and play a few games.:-6
