Hi. Last semester I had a history class on the Middle Ages. The whole "controversy" by professor was trying to create was all about "when did the Middle Ages begin?" "when did it end?" And she never told us!

the curiousity is killing me. anyone know?

Depends on who is teaching it and what the emphasis is on.

The most common time frame is approximately 500-1500.

From what I remember, the 22nd of August 1485 was fairly definitive. We woke up that morning still in the middle ages, and by the time it was all over we were in modern times. Caxton had a lot to do with it, maybe, but the main act was the final destruction of the Yorkists and Lancastrians.
