And of course the Grand Tetons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Big melons in Ze French I sink. Having those great reminders hanging over yer head, so to speak, at a formative age probably goes a long way to explaining some of Nomad's inner promptings in Uncle Kram's non-advice page..........................

Up north here in Boundary Waters you have to string your food packs up. We got chased off a peninsula by a black bear.
No we didnt camp, we had a killer condo with the Tetons out the back door.
I can see myself settling down there to be sure.
Did have one experience, I was doing some climbing and was probably out 400 yds sitting on a rock with a 20' drop below me, when I heard a cub whining.
I was thinking oh cool until I started thinking if theres a cub theres a mother. That got me a little shook up.

You are so right about Wyoming being God's country. I've lived here since I was 7 years old. I spend a lot of time in & around Jackson, so I'm quite familiar with the Tetons. Have you ever been to Wind River country? That's where I hail from!
