It was probably me. Was it in a thread you started? could you find it, please?

This is the kind of stuff (and I hope it's rare) that is taylor-made for sending to your congressmen. Make sure they know we don't like it and expect them to do something about it.

And if you think the people of this country do care about the members of our Armed Forces just go to the nearest VA Hospital and take a good hard look around. What a freaking joke! "To care for those who have borne the battle".......my ass.
This guy's Army, not Marine. It's not Army policy, is it?

Sorry. Didn't realize there were two conversations going on. The Army guy was overpaid & the bureaucracy's too slow. I don't get what's 'unbelievable' about it. They didn't stop combat pay.

Wolv, do you have a link about the Marine?

Thanks for reminding me of this in a different thread, Snooze.

Bumping for the link about the Marine being charged for equipment lost in combat, please.

Also, about the Army guy, I don't understand the outrage about finance fixing their screw-up.

There are stopgaps in place to handle such things. I agree it's an outrage that the man's unit and the paid professionals and volunteers aren't all over this as soon as an injured soldier comes in, especially since the war's been going on for so long.

I don't agree that they should get their debt forgiven, but you're right that they should have "trickled" it out.

Any news about that Marine link?
