Texan visits an Alberta ranch. He looks around, smirks, and say to the rancher, "Y'all call this a ranch? Why, I get in my pick-up on my spread, and it takes me most of the morning to drive across it. "
The Albertan nods, smiles, and tells him, " Yeah, I used to have a truck like that, too."

yep we had those crazy winds blow all night and day. They usually bring in the warm weather, the word chinook is native for snow eater. We love em hehehehe
Only us and I think Denver Colorado get these winds on this continent. Just our locations to the mountains, relative to distance from the ocean.

Southern California gets them, the famous Santa Ana's. Oh, what glorious days those are-you feel them in every fiber of your being. Summer in the middle of winter! Oh, I miss them so.

I have flown in those eeeegads they are brutal but yes nice they warm up the temps too. They come straigh off the ocean. Very nice. Ours come up over the mountains and before that air can cool off they hit us and melt the snow, Similar feelings I bet to when you were in the winds of Cali hehehehe

Shorts in January!!!! Strangely enough I'm still seeing brave people taking out the shorts already. But it's still FREEZING, so they must either be really brave, or just bonkers, (I'm betting on the latter! :sneaky: )
Oh and I've already posted some pics of where I live on FG. Nice historical city, which is a nice place to visit, but is pretty dull if u live here.
