Need some advice about a cake

I got a friend that getting married and her man to be can't eat eggs. He never tried sub. eggs so he doesn't know if he is allergic to them or not and he doesn't have time to go to the doc to find out b/c the wedding is a week from today. Does anybody know if there is a way around it? please tell me as soon as you can.

Original recipe yield: 1 -9x13 inch cake.

Servings:

INGREDIENTS:

* 1 gallon vanilla ice cream

* 1 (20 ounce) package chocolate sandwich cookies with creme filling

* 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

DIRECTIONS:

1. Soften ice cream. Crush cookies by placing them in a large zip lock bag and rolling over them with a rolling pin. Mix softened ice cream and crushed cookies together. Fold in the whipped topping and pour into one 9x13 inch glass pan. Freeze for 2 hours then serve.

"This is a wonderful eggless cake recipe, moist and absolutely delicious. Not only that, it hardly takes any time to prepare. It's something I got from my aunt, and whip up in a jiffy. I hope you love it too!"

Original recipe yield: 1 - 10 inch bundt cake.

Servings:

12 (change)

INGREDIENTS:

* 1 cup butter

* 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

* 2 3/8 cups self-rising flour

* 1 1/8 cups unsweetened cocoa powder

* 2 teaspoons baking powder

* 1 teaspoon baking soda

* 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle cola-flavored carbonated beverage

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter and dust with flour a 10 inch bundt tin.

2. Cream the butter or margarine till light and fluffy. Beat in the condensed milk. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda; mix into the creamed mixture alternately with the cola.

3. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the cake tests done.

I have a recipe for an eggless, milkless BUTTERless cake I can

give you (called Poorman's cake :p ) but it's chocolate, if you think

your friend would like it... for a wedding it might be a little un-orthodox!!

I would say he shouldn't eat the cake... ;) I'm not sure about an egg allergy, egg is in a lot of foods... I'm sure a little cake smashed on his face the day of his wedding won't throw him into an alergic reaction..but I could be wrong.:lips:

Well, as a person with a mild allergy to eggs, I have been advised to never have the Flu jabs or any other vaccinations because they are delivered in 'albumen' - the egg white.

Maybe its something I'll experiment with later, still struggling with the wheat allergy right now though.





Carla's comment on the cake on the face, I guess that would depend on how sensitive the guy is to eggs, I only have to touch something with wheat in it (i.e. bread when making a sandwich for the kids) then my face and I come up in hives.

Chocolate wedding cakes a THE cake to have. I've seen some and they are very nicely decorated. A friend of mine had one at her wedding.
