Hi all -

Found this forum at the suggestion of someone (no, I won't tell), and having a look around.

Being quite fluent with forum software, what I did first was to set myself a custom avatar - can't do it without paying...

Then, I figured I would at least set myself a signature - can't do that without paying.

OK.....that's fine. I know it costs money to run a server and have it on-line as I do it myself.

So, still lurking around enjoying some of the conversations - so many topic sections!

Then, I find something that suits me for a first post - under "Show us your computer station" - but.....won't let me post a photo unless I have 15 or more posts - even though the image is on my own server.....

So, that's my rant for now - hope not to offend anyone or start anything - just my initial observations.

Probably not the best introduction for myself.......sorry. I really don't like "formal" introductions so this is the best I can do for now. Guess you might figure me out some more as I post in some other threads.

Welcome Snowman! Sorry about the inability to upload a photo. We have so many wannabe spammers that hit us on an hourly basis, that this posting limit was a necessity - and by the way - it's working like a charm.

I'm still taking it all in, and will do some more "finding my way around" in the next couple days.

For some reason though, I seem drawn to Bothwell's Pub - but I guess that's because I am drawn to just about any kind of pub!
