I always feel overly emotional at christmas and there are people who have come into and left my life that I always seem to miss most at christmas. I thought it be nice to have a special place for them on our board.
My best friend Bren, honey you were taken from this world way before your time. Brenda was my little spitfire of a friend. She had a rare disease similar to himophelia, however it was different, and worse and often times I sat with her in the hospital as they tried to stop the bleeding from something as simple as a small scratch. She barely survived the birth of her daughter, as she had an anurrisim during the birth. She survived a potential murder suicide. One day she called us from 2 provinces away and talked to my then husband for 3 hours as he convinced her to not go visit her estranged abusive husband. 1 hour later she was informed he had shot himself and likely would have killed her and their daughter. She went on to remarry a wonderful man and adopt a little boy with fetal alcohol syndrome. At age 36 My dear sweet best Friend Brenda passed away due to severe, excessive and uncontrolled bleeding during a botched surgery. I miss her every christmas as she was the perfect christmas elf, cute, fun and generous.
Sweetie I miss you today and all days.
Others I miss and have lost and wish that where ever they are they get to enjoy christmas.
My grandparents, my long time (15 years) pen pal Milena, and my ex father in law.
	Merry Christmas among the angels.

well since I am on a roll with sad christmas feelings.
Here is my sad story for current day.
A man tells his "friend" this story.
I went to see my parents today. My mom refuses to acknowledge the good her operation has done for her. She says this pain is less and this pain is gone. She then turns around and says physio is painful and this operation was no good. She hates my father and can't decide which is worse having him around at christmas being his usual awful self, or being alone, and in pain by herself. She tells me I should take my father for christmas. I don't like the idea but he can help me with my projects. He hates christmas we have given him gifts and he refuses to open them, why do we bother? You see why I hate christmas? I want to tell my parents I can't take it any longer and I want to write them off. They have always been miserable and I really don't like christmas time in my family.
The sadness in it all...this man never experienced my kind of christmas, one where family was always important, family gathered, ate, drank, celebrated, took in friends who were spending the season alone. For me Christmas has always been joyous.
I know everyone of you who do not like christmas have your reasons, and my point in all this is.... please please if you have children, allow them to have a happy christmas despite what you as an adult feel.

Hear Hear, Minks! I donthave children, and there is nothing I REALLY want for Christmas, so as long as I am with my husband and 2 dogs eating brisket...its going to be a good day.......I hope the pain of missing someone, and having a sourpusses in the family isnt too much to bear for everyone else this year...and if it is, come over to my house for some Maker's Mark and eggnog. Hubby is from KY so there is ALWAYS bourbon in my house!

				Artist/Band: Alabama
Lyrics for Song: Angels Among Us
I was walking home from school on a cold winter's day
Took a shortcut through the woods and I lost my way
It was getting late and I was scared and alone
Then a kind old man took my hand and led me home
Mama couldn't see him, but he was standing there
But I knew in my heart, he was the answer to my prayers
Oh I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live
To teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love
When life dealt troubled times and had me down on my knees
There's always been someone there to come along and comfort me
A kind word from a stranger to lend a helping hand
A phone call from a friend just to say I understand
Ain't it kind of funny at the dark end of the road
Someone lights the way with just a single ray of hope
Oh I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live
To teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love
They wear so many faces
Show up in the strangest places
	Grace us with thier mercy
	In our time of need
Oh I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live
To teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love

I shal; miss the smiling face of my father, with my grandfathers beside him.
I will miss one I loved very much, and he died before we ever could even be together.
I miss all that went before me, and whom I will one day see in heaven.
