I do not understand why the time given at the top of my post does not agree with the local time given at the bottom of the post which is about 20 minutes in advance of the first time. Does anyone know the reason for the difference.

The time in green is the time you posted, the time at the bottom is the current time, I think!

Thanks for the advice Betty. I can see it has changed now. Never noticed before.
As for the rest of you, just don't touch my ears.

Thanks Bez. I will take a look. Can't remember which site I got my pictures from, including the cub. I know they're Canadian. The pics are on my other PC which I've just turned off as I'm off to bed now. I'll look them up tomorrow and let you know. There are some fantastic pics there. I'll be showing most of them in my avatar as time goes by.

Damn I wish I'd got here first with some relativistic time-wormhole reason for Open Mind's time dilemma, as usual someone with a bit more sense has beaten me to it, oh well.

Diff, if you go into "My Settings" at the top left of the page, and go into "Options" from there, you should see a function to be able to change your time zone. I've been here over a year and I still can't seem to get mine right! It's a big place with lots of features, so it will take you a bit to catch on to them all. But it's worth it, it's a great place!

The time on top shows when you posted.
The time on the bottom left is your current local time - as seen by *other people.

Me and Arnold Layne are both from England, yet he's 1 hour ahead of me,
how come?

Arnold's personal settings are off. (Hint: He needs to look at his DST settings.)

I wonder why, Abbey, after reading this, I then had to go and search for an Arnold post...it's not as if I didn't believe you, so why did I feel the need to go see it for myself? Bit sad or what :-5
