The Rule of Four

Is anyone reading this book, or trying to read it?
I am about half way through it, but this is the second try and I just picked it up from where I left off before.
I find the story interesting but tire of the style after just a little while. The author writes as though he were writing a much longer novel This one is just over 400 pages (paperback).
I expect I will finish it, but not sure when. I haven't read a review of it (probably just as well). I like Dan Brown a lot better for the puzzle mystey type story...easier reading and ultimately more interesting.
If I am going to read mental bublegum, i don't want to have to work so hard at it.
