BANGKOK, Thailand -- Thai police are warning tourists of a new scam.

Members of a Thai transvestite gang have confessed to hiding strong sedatives in their mouths and spitting them down the throats of victims during deep kissing. Then they rob the drugged tourists.



The confession came from three attractive transvestites arrested in Bangkok last week. Police say they'd robbed a Bangladeshi businessman of more than $7,300 in cash and valuables.

Police say the victim told investigators he met the transvestites in a bar and invited them all back to his apartment.

After kissing one, he said he felt dizzy and passed out. When he woke up, his cash, watch, mobile phone and notebook computer were gone.

A police lieutenant colonel has this warning for tourists: "Don't rush to kiss a stranger on the mouth or you will end up in a deep sleep."

This is so crazy...almost seems like a joke!! But in this day and age, I guess I can believe it. Pretty creepy.... What next?

We had an incident here, where a girl was raped after giving some guy a drink out of her glass, he slipped a sedative in her drink out of his mouth.

Oh... Well... Bangkok kinda' has an infamous reputation... and a lot of folks go there for those questionable activities... not to say they were asking for it, but... I wouldn't have any worries travelling there, I know.

i had to laugh, the "victim" took all 3 of them back to his room :wah: what did he expect, girl scout cookies??

LC how can you be so cynical, I expect the repectable businessman took them back to his room to lecture them on the error of their ways, and they repaid him with this low trick.

Come to think of it if by some unbelievable chain of evemnts I were to find myself in a room of transvestites I may well want to pass out as well:D

Where I live there are a lot of middle aged men that go to Thailand and come home with young brides....I feel really uncomfortable with this and I used to think these girls were being exploited. Having employed several Thai ladies (who are very hard workers), I now believe they know EXACTLY what they are doing !!

Stand by for Little Britain on thursday night apparently they have a new character with David Wallians as a saddo who has purchased Ting Tong (Matt Lucas) who turns out to be somewhat different to advertised.

A guy who does some work for me now and again is doing it, he is 56 (looks about 70) and went there for a holiday, met some girl who is 24 and is now selling up to move there!!!!!!!!!
