TMBSGRL, How awful you must be frantic. Yes he should wear that seatbelt, he got lucky this time.
Damn red light runners.. they are the worst cause more accidents and deaths that you can imagine just to get to the other side of the intersection how stupid. So the person who caused the accident left the scene.??.. I hope they catch them and throw them in jail..
So glad your hubby is OK...:-4

You keep a watch on him for a few days, okay? Sometimes after something
like that stuff can come up even though he seems okay. He will probably
be achy and sore, too. Would investigate why the airbag didn't go off!
It's touching that you thought to come here and post!! Makes me feel
like family!!
Hang in there. Hugs to you both.

I'm so glad your husband is alright, tmbsgirl. But it's still a shock to you both and you need to be extra gentle with one another over the next couple of days.
Hugs and best wishes to you both...

Absolutely... always wear those seatbelts! First and foremost for your protection and because it's the law and also for insurance purposes... you want to make certain you're doing everything you need to do to get that check... most insurance companies won't pay out... and they'll use ANY excuse to pay you less...
Yeah, them and stupid drunk drivers! A hit and run too? He's lucky there were no fatalities... he's even luckier I wasn't there or there might've been!
I hope they catch them too... lock that idiot up forever or at least to the fullest extent of the law!

tmbsgrl wrote: I got a call at 6:18pm.. He told me he was in a hit and run accident.. He was so shook up he was shaking and upset because he was in his work truck. Then he had to let me go because the police wanted to talk to him. I am so nervous! He finaly called me back and he is ok.. they checked him out.. The truck is drivable for now.. He is dropping it off at the shop to have it fixed. He t-boned someone because they ran a red light. He hit them at 40 miles an hour, he had on no seatbelt.. This person that ran the redlight also hit 2 other people. They are all ok.. Thank God. I am such a nervous wreck right now even though i know he is ok.. It is one of those times I need to see him with my own eyes. The whole front of his truck is smashed in and the airbag NEVER went off! I Thank God he and everyone else involved is alright.. He is going to be on his way home soon. I just needed to tell someone how I was feeling. I know I can come to you all with anything. Thanks for listening. :-1
I hope everything is okay!!!
BIG BIG HUGS!!!

I'm glad he's lucky. I recommend you pull a seatbelt out of an old car and beat him with the buckle. Then whenever you catch him without a seatbelt, beat him again. He'll learn.
Also I'm glad to hear nobody was seriously hurt.

That must have been really awful hearing that news Susie. My brother recently took up his driving tests, and nearly got hit by a red light runner as well, and I can tell u he was as nervous as heck after that.
I'm really glad that no-one was hurt though and lets hope that the red light runner will be caught and deservably punished. HUGS AND GOOD WISHES TO U BOTH!!!!! :yh_hugs

Wow susie, just got to this post, as I was away yesterday. Glad Tim seems ok, but as others have said, watch him closely. If his chest still hurts today, you may want to consider to have the doc take some x-rays. You never can be too cautious!! NO SEATBELT is a definite NO-NO! I never wore a seatbelt myself until 1984. That's when I saw what happened to my next door neighbor after his "single" car accident (He hit a telephone pole) where he was "not' wearing his seatbelt. He slamed against the steering wheel, cracking his chest cavity, broke both his arms, & broke his left ankle in 3 places. It took him seven months to get better, but he never seemed to "fully" recover! He was never really the same again!! So since 1984, my car does not go into gear, until "first" clicking that seatbelt!!! :-2
("Passengers" (like it or not) must click them to!!)
