Hi Pinky, Chonsi. Thumper's not bad either. I used to have a big black rabbit. He kept digging his way out of the hutch in the backyard and ending up in the neighbours' vegie patches.... A bad lot, altogether. Grin. His name was Melanie.

When I lived with my partner, we had a pair of rabbits. They were constantly burrowing their way out of the garden. So I erected a run for them and set the bottom of the frame 2.5 feet under the ground. They could burrow as much as they liked inside the run, but they never escaped again.
I also had the idea that they might like their hutch underground. I converted the lid so it could be opened from the top for cleaning out. Sunk it right into the ground. They appeared to be very happy with it.
It was during this exercise, though, that I discovered that the house, being the end of the row, had been used by the builders as their dumping ground. I found large tough plastic sacks and even a girder under the soil.

Great idea, OpenMind. Pity about the stuff you dug up. It should have been ancient pre celtic gold or dinosaur bones or at very least some modern robber's stash of ill gotten gains that I'd have been only too willing to help you spend!!!!

No such luck, unfortunately, Pam. If so, there would have been one big party and you would have been very welcome.:-6

Dairy Queen is the only place open in my town on Sundays. And it's the only "fast food' place in my town.

But then, Dunkin' Donuts has been returning from near extinction, so you never know.

I am so slow. I didnt know you could interact with the spider.

I think a housefly has a very short life span. I knew some guys ar work fed a mouse from their lunch.
Fair time here. the food looks great but I dont like the huge crowds especially trying to exit the parking lot.

Wow. small town. I left a small town when I was very young. I didnt want everyone knowing my business. I know lots who retire to small towns. Not sure why. Quieter I guess.

I never lived in a small town-it feels like it here in the East though. But we have plenty of fast food places, never eat at them....................the kids do.

That's bad news. One of my prerequisites for choosing a place to live is that there is a decent pub within an hour's walking distance (and within half hour for getting back).

Oh no. I don't crawl. I might bounce of a few things on the way, but I use a rare technique. I lean my head forward and my legs have to go twice as fast to try and keep up with it.

Perfected, eh. I'd be interested in how you deal with the inevitable stagger of a companion that results in a shoulder barge into a thicket.

Wow, you would walk an hour to a pub? I actually do have a bus stop about three minutes from here but have never rode one here. I have rode one in Fort Worth when I rode the train down there. My sister and her husband were in England once and tried to hail a cab. He had no fare in it but went right past them then stopped down the street. Don went after him and when he got there the cabbie was just pouring himself a cuppa tay. Don had to promise a good tip to get the man to postpone his tea.
