Lightly snowing again, on top the foot of snow already on the ground. 12ºF (-11C) right now. Suppose to dip below zero tonight.

We're not dipping to zero. we plummeted! LOL

Snow is still lying, the sky is very heavy with cloud. It has snowed again today, but not seriously, and the temp is just above freezing but will probably sink to below tonight ! It's cold and miserable grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yesterday it was "29"f in Orlando, & "32"f in Boca Roton!!!



It's a shame for the folks who are vacationing there!!! :wah:

here in my part of cornwall its a bright sunny day, above freezing for a change. just few miles up the road the snow is feet deep in places. traffic airports etc at a stand still and much the same for the rest of the country !!!

We just had a mega storm and loads of rain. It's 9:30 pm and now steamily sweltering. Been pretty hot all day.

Woke to an inch of new snow this morning. Temp fractionally above freezing.

Same here, so glad the snow missed us! I went out on the school run and then into town all wrapped up warm, ended up sweating pints, it's suddenly gone very mild. I hope that these mild temperatures make it further up the country to you other guys, warm you all up and to melt all that snow! :-6

24F & cloudy

We have got serious black ice on all the roads, including the main roads. Over 80 traffic accidents so far. We live on a hill, and several people have slipped over on the ice, and even 4 wheel drive vehicles are sliding on the sloping roads! The single deck bus which comes along our road, had to reverse carefully back till he could turn into another level road and return the way he had come. Haven't seen any buses since then ! It is now snowing very steadily and it is settling on top of the black ice - bodes well for the morning rush hour ........ not ! I wonder how many folks who live up our way, will actually be able to get to their homes tonight ? Not in their cars, I don't think. :driving: :-5 :-3 :rolleyes: Oh and the temp. has not gone above freezing all day, and it will start to drop again imminently ! Still we're nice and warm. Thank goodness ! :-6

Back in the days when I lived in NE for the winter, our house was up a steep hill as well, where even 4W/D's could not get up that $%##@&* hill in icey conditions! Many times, after me getting half way up the hill, only to then start to slip & slide, eventually "sliding backwards" out of control all the way down that hill to the bottom. I wound up having to crawl up that hill on all fours, for 2 blocks distance to get to my house!!!

I'm lucky I didn't give myself a heart attack doing that, as it was so overwhelmingly exhausting!!! Not to mention freezing cold!!!

we should see +9 C today yipeeeeeeee that is sooooooo nice out there I want to find a patio and enjoy the sun.

Our side streets have so much slush I sunk my car last nite, the nice neighbor across the way had to come help dig me out. What a great guy I should take him and his wife a thank you something...

Snowing again. Just watched my neighbour back carefully down the drive looking over his right shoulder to avoid the bin giving the snowdrift on his right a wide berth and driving straight on to the one behind. Who do people never look over both shoulders when reversing ior at least look in the direction the car is travelling? He managed to get out which is as well or he's have blocked me in. Didn't go out to help as I thought I might say something along the lines of your driving leaves a lot to be desired. I'm fed up helping people who don't want to listen when you make suggestions like put it in second take your time and stop spinning the wheels.:-5:-5

It's cold, miserable and damp feeling, and the sky is thick with cloud. The temp is just above freezing, but our road is still hard-packed icy snow. The bus tried to come up again this morning, took one look at the rise in the ground, packed hard slippery snow, then he reversed back, turned and went back down the way he had come ! Hubby's just gone out to get a few bits and bobs, with his rucsac. He walked the dog. So when he gets back, hopefully he won't need to go out again today.

seems so different to me to hear everybody else in way worse conditions than us at this time of the year.

Times like this I am thankful for our "chinook" winds that warm us up from time to time throughout winter.

yesterday the tempreture rose drastically........... about 4c above freezing :rolleyes: fog and sea mist rolled in and out all day,

today was overcast and just a little warmer,

all those poor souls that had the big snow falls are now expecting floods as the rain sweeps over the country :-3

It's the 4th day of rain here in the place "where the sun spends the winter"! My backyard looks like one big swimming pool. Streets and roads are flooded everywhere. I think we've gotten twice our normal rainfall for the year, in the past 4 days and it's not over yet. Guess I'll quit wishing for rain. :-6

Pretty much the same here the Duck's are wearing rain gear. I haven't seen this much rain in San Diego in decades. :-6:-6

We set records for 2 days in a row for the most rain EVER. It may be 3 by now. But it's sunny today. :-6
