Bad Days

Hitting on the novel idea that he could end his wife's incessant nagging by giving her a good scare, Hungarian Jake Fen built an elaborate harness to make it look as if he had hanged himself. When his wife came home and saw him she fainted. Hearing a disturbance a neighbor came over and, finding what she thought were two corpses, seized the opportunity to loot the place. As she was leaving the room, her arms laden, the outraged and suspended Mr. Fen kicked her stoutly in the backside. This so surprised the lady that she dropped dead of a heart attack. Happily, Mr. Fen was acquitted of manslaughter and he and his wife were reconciled.

An unidentified English woman, according to the London Sunday Express was climbing into the bathtub one afternoon when she

remembered she had left some muffins in the oven. Naked, she dashed downstairs and was removing the muffins when she heard a noise at the door. Thinking it was the baker, and knowing he would come in

and leave a loaf of bread on the kitchen table if she didn't answer his knock, the woman darted into the broom cupboard. A few moments later she heard the back door open and, to her eternal mortification, the sound of footsteps coming toward the cupboard. It was the man from the gas company, come to read the meter. "Oh," stammered the woman, "I was expecting the baker." The gas man blinked, excused himself and departed.

In a classic case of one thing leading to another, seven men aged eighteen to twenty-nine received jail sentences of three to four years in Kingston-on-Thames, England, in 1979 after a fight that

started when one of the men threw a french fry at another while they stood waiting for a train.

Surprised while burgling a house in Antwerp, Belgium, a thief fled out the back door, clambered over a nine-foot wall, dropped down and found himself in the city prison.

for my fellow gardeners

You are friendly, kind and caring

Sensitive, loyal and understanding

Humorous, fun, secure and true

Always there... yes that's you.

Special, accepting, exciting and wise

Truthful and helpful, with honest blue eyes

Confiding, forgiving, cheerful and bright

Yes that's you... not one bit of spite.

You're one of a kind, different from others

Generous, charming, but not one that smothers

Optimistic, thoughtful, happy and game

But not just another... in the long chain.

Appreciative, warm and precious like gold

Our friendship won't tarnish or ever grow old

You'll always be there, I know that is true

I'll always be here... always for you.

i do hope everything goes ok for shayden, its bad enough to go through stuff like that yourself but at least you know why its being done. to a child of that age, its a scarey thing and you cant explain why its happening and thats what makes it harder. :-4

a bit dull and overcast here today, they say we're getting snow by the weekend. that will make a change from everything else we've had thrown at us this winter.

i hate takin the dog out in the snow cos he's only got little stumpy legs and he gets snow balls !!

now, hang on a minit, i know what some of you are thinking  i mean it gets stuck to the hair on his legs and forms big balls and i have to put him in the bath and melt em with warm water otherwise he cant walk properly :D

The water board decided to "do something" to our water about a wek ago. They opened up a drain outside, There didnt seem to be anything wrong with it before they started:-3 Since then it has been leaking water all over, and is now a huge hole with plastic hurdles all around it, and at thia moment there are three water board vans outside with men standing around talking and ocasionally looking down the hole:rolleyes::wah::wah: Well its keeping me occupied anyway.

Something funny happened today. My mam phoned me and said guess what? Well my dad has had 2 knee replacements and since then, the first one was about 2 years ago, he has been worse! then on top of that he had some strokes, so he has hardly been able to walk. Well today he was saying to my mam look look and walking around the room. My mam is looking on the floor for something till she realises he is walking quite easily without his stick! he said he was walking around this morning and just suddenly realised he could walk much easier, even get up out of the chair without needing help or support! My mam says he hasnt stopped walking around for ages now:wah::wah: Oh i hope it stays that way, he says he is not in as much pain either.

Its a strange old world but indeed a good one at times.I recieved a mail from somebody here just before who will remain nameless. It wasn't just a quick little message it was well typed and quite long. It contained things that made me understand certain things abit better and also has helped me at this moment of time. A stranger held their hand out to me today....somebody I dont even know took the trouble of spending time and energy on me just to help me..........do you know how that makes me feel?To be shown your not that terrible person some may think you are and other stuff that made me see things so much more clearly.I couldnt write much back as I was just to taken back.but if you are reading this............you have no idea what you have done sweetheart by holding that hand out right now and for showing and giving me some advice and indeed I will take it...........Thankyouxxxx
