While out of town today, my assinine neighbor jumped my fence to allegedly try and put my barking dog in my house and my dog allegedly bit him. Who is in the wrong here, my neighbor or my dog.

my son lives with me. he is 26, i pay all the bills. i love him dearly but am tearing my hair out! so yesterday he drives up in a brand-new car. gorgeous. he is so happy. his first new car. while i am still driving an old crown vic cruiser. not even mine. my sheriff's. so should i stop paying the bills or smack my son???

Lady Cop So you pay all the bills? A couple questions, Who is going to make the car payments, insurance, license, and fill the tank. Does he do anything to help around your home, like mow the yard, clean the gutters, carry out the trash, clean his room? If your answer is I do all this, then smack him hard, then throw him out. He can sleep in his car til they repo it. It's called tough "love".

You wouldn't be a good Far if he didn't hate something about you at 16. My daughter hated me from 14 - 16.5. She went throught her rebellion early. We are good friends today. She is 21, an adult in charge of her life, married, and only calls me for recipes questions and advice on her impending pregnancy. She also calls because she just misses me and I do the same. OOHHH gotta go call my da - her first day at her new job.

Far rider the education your son has been getting is so valuable, someday he will realize it. If my math is correct he has made $28 grand in the last 6 years, pretty darn good for a teen-ager. If he can carry the expense of a Mustang I don't see where you have a leg to stand on. I realize $28 grand goes a lot further in Ill. than it does in Ca. About pulling his cart with his Mustang would cause a problem around here, even if he was just joking. :driving:

Since cars has been in the discussion I heard a really funny true story yesterday.

This man who is about 45 yr. told me, him and his two sons had a chore in their yard that required a larger truck than their pick-up. So they went to his fathers and borrow his old farm truck. On the way home one of his kids asked him what those cranks on the inside of the doors were? "They were the handles that roll down the windows". That cracked me up. Made both os us feel ancient too.

he did this saturday the same day the dog bit him. My dog is ok, the other dog was a bit listliss yesterday and today, and was eating grass. I told the ex all about it. I was told in confidence by another neighbor that this happened. So today I marched over there and got the GF at the door, told her the ex's dog was sick, the vet said it injested something and I acted all worried about the jerks foot and told the GF to keep and eye on his foot incase whatever the dogs got into did not infect him, and I told her I was worried for his sake. She then fessed up that she told him not to jump the fence, and in honesty gang, I am glad my dog bit him, he was forever harassing my dog through the fence and making him bark then I would yell at my dog and he the neighbor would say oh it is ok I am bugging him. The stupid jerk so deserved the bite. And I hope his GF is all worried now about the dogs being sick supposedly.

The answers I have found only serve to raise a whole new set of questions, which only lead to more problems, some of which we weren’t even aware were problems. To sum it all up… In some ways I feel we are as confused as ever, but I believe we are confused on a higher level and about more important things.
