My Mother's garden
My Mother kept a garden,
a garden of the heart,
She planted all the good things
that gave my life it's start.
She turned me to the sunshine
and encouraged me to dream,
Fostering and nurturing
the seeds of self-esteem...
And when the winds and rain came,
she protected me enough--
But not too much because she knew
I'd need to stand up strong and tough.
Her constant good example
always taught me right from wrong--
Markers for my pathway
that will last a lifetime long.
I am my Mother's garden.
I am her legacy-
And I hope today she feels the love
reflected back from me

It is Mother's Day today and I was just doing a little project. I remember my Mother planting Four O'Clock flowers in our front yard in Chicago. The photos below are of my mother and me as her firstborn:
my grandmother, my mom, myself and my daughter: me and my older son: me and my daughter: me and my younger son; and me and my first grandchild. The photos may bit a blurry as I took them with my camera, but my feelings of love are not. :-4
Happy Mother's Day AFTR, did you receive my flowers on facebook?
I have four oclock seeds here, just to early to plant them yet, I love them as they come up in mounds of colorful bushes!:-6:-6
