Or get out thier cash or credit cards!! My peeve was folks who waited till I had given them thier change, and closed my cash drawer and then ask for two fives instead of the ten in thier change...stuff like that. I know sometimes it is a scam to confuse the cashier, but it is still irritating. In the store I worked at, you couldn't just hit no sale and open the drawer..you needed a manager key!

Oh how about this...you know how here in the US we were doing the state quarters? I would get people almost daily wanting me to go through the quarters in my drawer as they only wanted a particular state. It always seemed to happen where I had 5 people in line. I usually said no.

Yeah, and the ones that decided to strike up a conversation with the checker after they've already finished the transaction, keeping everyone in line waiting while we all hear about their personal problem of the day. Sheesh!:-5

One night I was in the grocery store after my evening shift..getting bread & mik. Two cashiers were open. One was activly checking someone out, one was just handing her customer his change. So I got in that line. But the cashier was carrying on a conversation with the guy..she was holding his cash, not even handing it to him. And it was not even related to the transaction..she was just chatting.

I made a comment that I was in a bit of a hurry...and she looks at me and says "If you are in a hurry, the other cashier is the express lane, you can go there! ":mad: :-5

Yes, there may have been some bashing in that statement, but also some truth. From my experiences as both a cashier and customer.

Although I dont own a cat, I think I kinda "own" about 5 or 6 cats. I don't feed them but they spend a helluva lot of time in my garden. One is a permanent fixture on my kitchen roof. Theres a ginger one lying in front of my shed at the moment (the only part of the garden not in the shade). There was a different fluffy one there last night.

On Friday, hubby and I are heading to Maine for a long weekend.

One night we'll be staying with friends who have a home right on the beach
