I decided to leave work early because the torrential rain today finally stopped, and it warmed up. Thought I'd take a walk along the beach.



Well, I'm half way home when the skies opened up with yet another bout of torrential rain. I could hardly see in front of me when I was driving. Decided not to pull over since the road on the island would become flooded and impassable. That was a good decision. Stopped into a store before I came home and had to walk in a half foot of water....destroyed my new summer shoes:mad: It was an emergency....needed to pick up my pizza:wah:



Now there is thunder, lightning and lashing rain....



It's good to be home:p

Not your new shoes Hope you don't catch cold Kathy. I hate those flash rain storms. Thought we were going to get one today but it passed over without a drop. Made me happy as I was outside planting flowers and such.

I'm off today. I get a call, at my home, from someone wanting to book the hall at work for a funeral dinner. I feel like an idiot for one thing, because I just mailed him a get well card yesterday. I am furious that someone gave out my home phone number on my day off, when I do not have the book for the hall here. I get the same pay as everyone else so they should do the same job. :-5

Yeah, that is a big no no. You don;t work 24/7 and aren't getting paid for working from home.
