I looked after Lewis last night. He now has 6 teeth, sits up on his own and rolls and shuffles round everywhere. He is my angel...I love him to bits...

This week my granddaughter Katelyn is going for her last follow up appointment from her back surgery. She will be fitted for another brace, but she will not have to wear it as much as before surgery. Probably just at night.

Yes, I believe so. But Brenda (her mom) told me that Kate is being a bit difficult about returning to her normal routine. Says she does not want to...afraid she might hurt her back. Doc sees no reason for the complaints of pain, but will check this week just to be sure.

Saturday we received marzipan and a beautiful card from the lovely Theia. We've never had marzipan before. Where does the minty flavor come from? I didn't see mint in the ingredients.

I have just tasted a little of a bar (any excuse, I adore marzipan) and I think I might know what you mean...if I hadn't had it before, I might just very vaguely say "minty." Hold on, let me try some more...

ever so, ever so vaguely, but still not sure...think it must be an interpretation of the almond flavour, yes...will have to eat the rest, sadly.

ahhh..the childhood memories....yumm.

Marzipan is hard to find in North America, have not seen it in any store here in eastern Canada.

When I go back to the old Country I eat like an idiot and come back 20 pounds heavier. Suprises me everytime they still let me board the airplane teeheeee

When I was little, in the 50s, my family had a German student, Klaus, to stay. He brought us a gift of marzipan from Lubeck. It was set on a wooden plate and covered with chocolate. I have never tasted anything as wonderful since, but thus began my lifelong passion for marzipan.

A couple of weeks ago I spilt bleach on a brand new pair of khaki combats....yesterday I found a real cool iron on motive that matched and today I fixed it over the bleached bit...it looks really good.....you'd never know it wasn't meant to be there. Job done and a few quid saved. :)
