Tony Blair is trying to win peace in the middle East. The threat is if Iran nukes Isreal as threatened. America & Britain will nuke Iran. Russia will threaten to nuke America. Britain will join America. Russia nukes Poland. Russia invades Eastern Europe.
Obama has declared his feelings on Iran. McCain has declared his feelings on Iran.

Again, there are more than two people running for president. This false choice between only republican & democrat is ruining our country. I thing the video clearly shows that the author sees both McCain and Obama bringing more war in their wake. While I don't necessarily agree with the video, I do agree we need to shake ourselves out of this "lesser of two evils" hypnosis.

In fairness, I tried to find the context. The questioner clearly thought we should have already bombed Iran. McCain is known to get sarcastic if he thinks it will help make a point. He did it in the recent debate. While several vids showed the question he was asked, this link is the only place out of probably a half dozen that I looked that even mentions what he said after his little 'song'.

It is amazing how easily people can say 'bomb' someone. It is not like getting a hair cut, first take a look at what it is they think it is ok to bomb:

http://www.rawstory.com/news/2007/McCai ... _0419.html Thanks for that. I could not believe that a man of his experience could act so dumb. I guessed there had to be context that was cut. That's what the BBC did to me last night. I love McCain's sardonic remarks. Obama wouldn't have a sense of humour even if one came up & bit him on the arss. Even after watching the link, my feelings are the same. There are alternatives to the two parties. We have alternative's here as well, not just Gordon Brown & the opposition David Cameroon. There's another one called --- um---- um um-- See how memorable they are? I will get blasted for this but in truth, i want a Prime Minister/ President who will be strong & stand up to the aggressive nations that are destroying peace around the world already. What the hell is global terrorism, if it is not a war? Do we think it will stop after 9/11 & The London Tube bombings? Did any of you have family in those bombings? I want a strong leader who will say "Bring it on". Not umming & aarrring like Obama. If he gets in, he is not strong enough to handle the financial problems & certainly not strong enough to stand up to aggresive nations. Sometimes the best form of defence, is attack. We need leaders who are willing to attack to defend our nations. The option is that they walk right over us & nuke who the hell they like. Obama talks of taking on Iran. I doubt he has the balls to do it. I think McCain would & aggresive nations need to know he would. I feel that if other nations knew without doubt that THEIR country would be nuked, future wars could be avoided.
(The other one is called "Nick Clegg". I knew all along, but i choose not to aknowledge him.

The way i saw it, Iraq invaded Kuwait illegaly. They were asked to withdraw. Iraq gassed the Kurds, their own people. That was biological gas. Iraq was harbouring Terror suspects linked to 9/11. Iraq had policies of "Ethnic Cleansing" of it's own people, no different to Hitler & The Holocaust. Invade yes. Send Prince Harry there? Now that is unfair on Iraq & Afghanistan.

I will be laying a blue wreath for the RAF this year because i'm proud of my dad. Maybe the wars were so devastating, the loss so great that people like my dad brought us up differently. I don't know to be honest. My husband, i hasten to add, is a lot older than me, was a war baby. His brother was born on the London Underground. His mum was bombed out.

Nobody did say anything negative. Nor would I detract from the american servicemen. You miss the point of the analogy. The difference is our continued existence as an independent nation was at stake, yours was not. I know many uk servicemen find it irritating (or used to they're mostly dead now) that americans seem to think ww2 started in 1941 and that they won the war with no one else involved. My comment was aimed at oscar, the america saved us irritates because you didn't- you only got involved half way through. However, We're derailing the thread.

McCain seems to be just more of the same. If the captain of the ship of state has just run aground on rocks anyone could see coming and threw overboard or ridiculed anyone that said it was the wrong way to go then appointing another captain that intends to follow the same course just because he has more experience is not sensible. Maybe the one saying let's go the other way might have a point.
I don't know whose going to win. I don't understand american politics-they have some weird ideas- and their domestic politics are irrelevant to me. Foreign policy matters a great deal however. Sooner or later McCain would have to sit down and talk to Iran, enemies always end up talking to each other eventually, even if it's only to agree to collect the bodies. Talking to a potential enemy isn't a sign of weakness it may possible avoid a lot of unnecessary bloodshed. Not talking is a sign of stupidity. If they start out refusing to talk in the first place then that means warfare sooner or later because there is no alternative being offered.
He's also talking up warfare with Russia. For an ex soldier he doesn't seem to understand that other people will fight when left with no choice. Bullying third world countries like Iran is one thing Russia and China are not third world. If he gets in I think it will be the end of Nato and the start of a european defence force as one time allies distance themselves from an increasingly militaristic USA and prepare to stand off against russia-in case they need to.
The sight of the present administration frantically trying to get the tax payer to bail out their cronies while at the same time letting them walk away unscathed and still wealthy is one to behold. This bail out is not socialism or anything remotely like it-that would at least ostensibly be for the benefit of the struggling masses. What you are seeing is good old fashioned right wing politics-one elite looking after the interests of the other meanwhile raise the taxes and let the peasants pay the bill. (but not the taxes on the rich cos they will spend and the benefit will trickle down). Course America is a classless society without elites. isn't it.

America, you had a speech Called "I have a dream" by MLK that stayed in the hearts of the world.
Great Britain had a speech once that stayed in the MINDS of the world. You may not recall it, as it was a long time ago. Governments across the world CHOOSE to bury it.
British Conservative Member of Parliment 1950 -- 1974
Ulster Unionist MP 1974 -- 1987
In 1968 he rocked the establishment.
People of Great Britain took to the streets.
Edward Heath sacked him
The name of his speech --- "RIVERS OF BLOOD"
Brigadier John Enoch Powell MBE June 16th 1912 -- Feb 8th 1998
I knew of this man. Not from Tabloid newspapers. From word of mouth.

Al-Queda blew you up, they blew Britain up. Scotland, different matter. They TRIED to blow them up. How ******* dumb can AL-Queda get? To try to bring death & destruction to Scotland and target Glasgow airport.
Only in Scotland would you see a scene of an AL-Queda terrorist on fire and a scottish man punching him to the ground.
Our Prime Minister is scottish. Know him? He's the one that never smiles.
He has just annouced in a press statement after your government turned down the UK's offer with another package of UK money to bail out The money men and save ALL our economys, Quote "Bush -- Fix it now." Doe's America want to **** with a Scottish Prime Minister?

Oscar,
Enough. I'm not sure why you are taking what I was saying about AMERICANS' fortitude as an insult to you, but so be it. I apologize. As to the word "Brit" yes I know a few. I've never been told that is an insult. Sorry. But before taking others to task about their lack of manners, you may want to apologize for yours.
I am NOT commenting on Britain when I comment, or any other country and their people. I would be uninformed of the exact nature of citizens in other countries live. I am only stating what I know about America and our issues. I would appreciate it if you would show me the respect of not assuming who and what I am.
You have been wrong in your assumptions concerning me Every time Oscar, I would appreciate leniancy until you get to "know"me. If you can't be gracious enough for leniancy, then please leave me out of your posts.
Thank you.

In AMERICAN voting...not Britian, Europe, Asia. Gordon Brown, no don't know him. I've heard of him though. At the moment my hands are full with our own Yahoos! (none of which have that lovely picture of them clearing their nose)
Grow up? Sir, save your insults. You misread my comment.
AMERICAN voting? You think that your Wall Street crash has no impact on the financial situation of Europe? If you think it's only AMERICAN voting, then you know nothing of British Politics.
We have to care about AMERICAN voting. The world is stuffed full of American and British military bases. YOUR missiles are in OUR European Constitution. YOUR missiles are in Poland which is part of OUR Constitution with the full backing of Gordon Brown. Gordon Brown, The British Prime Minister who would push that button with no hesitation, fear or conseqeunce. If you are deluded enough and insular enough to believe this election is all about America, then i guess you care not for the rest of the world but only about the AMERICAN vote. I guess you also have not researched the British/American pact.
But i forgot, Tom cruise defeated the Luftwaffe single handed didn't he :yh_rotfl
Who ever gets in Darling, they will need the full support of Great Britain as they have for centurie's. Educate yourself. There again how can you possibly know of British history when you seem to know nothing of your own.
Don't insult you?? I don't need to, you've made a [moderator intervention: intolerable slur removed] of yourself all alone.
Cranky party of one?? Save your insults Sir?? Oscar is a woman. Couldn't even glean that from other posts could you??

I lose my manners when i see a post claiming that your fellow countrymen are shallow enough to vote Black.
You have no doubt posted it to raise a debate. That's the whole idea of a forum is it not, to raise debate?
I was defending your fellow countrymen as i have on many previous posts, even against MY fellow countrymen at times.
That's one thing about us BRITS. Attack is the best form of defence. Incidentally, that's why Britain will go to war with Iran without the blink of an eye. They threatened to nuke Israel.
Us BRITS don't like our ally's being threatened.
When you get to know me, because i am a BRIT, i never surrender.
I am gracious enough for leniancy, i excused your time keeping in the last war.
I can excuse anything, so i accept your apology.
Truce?? Let's start again shall we?
And jumpin Jack Flash is a gas gas gas. :-6
