My family gathered this afternoon for a Sunday brunch at my brother's home. He lives about 60 north of my home. Driving along the nasty Noo Joisey Parkway I was caught up in traffic that was backed up for 5 miles due to an accident...3 car collision...one car totally burned. The Parkways south was also backed up...looked like another accident.



Driving home tonight I noticed that the Parkway North was backed up for about 10 miles....must be another accident. I hope no one was hurt too seriously. I was glad to be going south and not caught up in another accident.



SOOOOOOOOO......hummmmmmm....wonder why there are so many accidents.....??????? Speed limit is 65 mph and I was driving 75 trying to keep up with the traffic. Actually drivers must have been doing way over 90. Everyone was tailgating, speeding, driving erratically between lanes and looking angry.



I'm very happy that I arrived home safe and sound tonight. Next year I plan to invite everyone to the beach for Sunday brunch:wah:





My family wonders why I don't want to go off island to the mainland:rolleyes::D:p I think that I'll just stay safe and sound in my little town on Easter day.

Glad your home safe Kathy! I find on holidays there are more accidents as everyone is so much hurray to get there and get home again.

Thanks Odie, people seem to always drive so fast and defensively along these major roads.

When we go down the shore, we take the back roads....farmstands galore, fresh veggies, flowers, etc. Saw on the news last night...massive easter egg hunt on Ocean City's beach, etc.

But anyways, J & I got into a nasty last night:-5. So I slept on the sofa till 4am then went & joined him in bed & we ended up hugging.:-4

Glad you got home safely, Kathy. I am wary when driving on holidays, glad I really didn't go anywhere after church.

The back roads up to my brother's is sooooooo slow. Wouldn't be worth it for me. It takes an hour and 1/2 doing 75 along the parkway.



It was a horrible experience for me. I hate driving along roads with angry people.:rolleyes:

We can clock around 60mph on the back roads to OC. I lost J in traffic last summer as he was driving the old truck:wah:, so we stopped at a farmers market and he was begging me to let him drive ahead:rolleyes:, jeez that old truck drove like an old lady:-5. Once we got to the turnpike to go over the bridge, I passed him....got home 20 min before him.:yh_rotfl

I put a bet on the Gold Cup for Ducky and our horse won. I needed to get sterling changed to dollars to send to her but i live in a small village and it means going to my bank in the city centre. I hate going into the city as for one, you can't park any-where. It's an absolute nightmare. My bank is in a one-way street as well which makes it worse. It's around a 30 mile round trip so i have been putting it off until i had another reason to go there.

I finally got there and changed the money.

This morning I went to my local supermarket 'Sainsbury's' which is only half a mile from me and i noticed a new kiosk next to the ciggs kiosk. It was a bloody bureau de change. I asked them. when you slip this one in? :-5:-5:-5:-5

Thankyou for asking. I really hope he won't need chemo after but until they go in, they can't tell us for sure.

The nutty woman could not be prosecuted for leaving the scene of an accident because we live in a private road and British laws mean the police can't do anything under the 'Highways and byways act. Yes, i know...... bloody stupid but she is being prosecuted for assault and criminal damages. It could take months to come to court though but it'll be worth the wait as we will be in the public gallery watching her. :)
