Cornwall's got to be a much nicer environment, Betty.

Anyway, you'd still be too far away from me.:(

This is the first week I am working reduced hours as I move forward towards retirement...so 4 day week for 8 weeks, then 3 day week from October to Christmas....scary because of the money, but lovely to have extra spare time. :)

I would imagine it feels like the first early spring day you go outside without the big winter coat. It's a little too cool to be comfortable, but kind of exhilarating as well.

Well it's been a good day.

Opened a savings account specially for the money I get from the sale of the house.

Bought some gorgeous material and covered the lid of my Lloyd loom ottaman.

Did some more packing.

Heard from my son that the surveyors report is favourable !

Treated myself to some flowers...they smell gorgeous

Didn't have to wear the grotty work uniform

Had more time to spend at FG

My granddaughter had to have surgery on her back to straighten it due to serious scoliosis. She went through it well, and is home. Her curve went from 85 degrees to 25 degrees. She added 2 inches in height.

She is still having some pain, but she is doing OK otherwise.

She has a follow up appointment in a couple of weeks. But her doctor wants her back to her routine now. She will be able to return to school in the fall with no limitations.
