Whats funny is analysts are saying Trumps policies are going to hurt most the people who voted for him . The demographic of voters. Its going to be a mess.

The lyrics to the song in case anyone might be interested.
[Verse 1]
Cowardice, are you serious?
Apologies for freedom, I can't handle this!
When freedom rings, answer the call!
On your feet, stand up tall!
Freedom's on our shoulders, USA!
Enemies of freedom
Face the music, come on boys, take 'em down!
President Donald Trump knows how to make America great
Deal from strength or get crushed every time
[Chorus]
Over here, USA!
Over there, USA!
Freedom and liberty everywhere
Oh say can you see
It's not so easy
But we have to stand up tall and answer freedom's call
[Verse 2]
USA, USA!
USA, USA
We're the land of the free and the home of the brave, USA!
The stars and stripes are flying
Let's celebrate our freedom
Inspire proudly freedom to the world
Ameritude, USA!
American pride, USA!
It's attitude, it's who we are, stand up tall
We're the red, white and blue
Fiercely free, that's who!
Our colors don't run, no sir-e
[Chorus]
Over here, USA!
Over there, USA!
Freedom and liberty everywhere
Oh say can you see
It's not so easy
But we have to stand up tall and answer freedom's call
Also, some background about the song from the same source.
The song’s original lyrics were about senior U.S Army General George Patton, but it was rewritten by USA Freedom Kids manager Jeff Popick shortly after Trump announced his candidacy.
“While there are several candidates who could begin to turn around the Obama debacle, we think there may be no one better than President Donald Trump to answer ‘Freedom’s Call,’ Popick said in a November news release introducing the song.
USA*Freedom Kids – Freedom's Call (The Official Donald Trump Jam) Lyrics | Genius Lyrics
The irony, of course, is that the song appears to praise Obama's foreign policies, and is, if Trump is to be believed, contrary to The Donald's.

Pretty fascism is still fascism althouigh as usual americans adopt a different definition from the rest of the world and include a dictator as the main criterion. Going to be interesting iof the checks and balances in the american constitution will work or whether a populist president will be able to rode roughshod over them. Trump is a bully and a braggart with a following that se him as the new messiah. Not my words I assure you.
The internet can be a depressing place.

Are you suggesting Hillary Clinton would have laid off slapping the rest of the world around and reined in her killers had she won the Presidency? As a display of faith on your part it might work, but as rational thinking it's mere unjustifiable optimism.
I understand where you are coming from and in the main I would probably agree with you but trump's best pal putin probably feels he had a free rein now to do what he wants in europe you can see why he wanted trump to win - follow the money or if you prefer the ex head of exxonmobil. He's a narcissistic bully and a braggart bad enough running his own company but in control of nuclear weapons?

As I watch the goings-on about my country, and read the comments from "friends" I once respected, I have a feeling of dread, not unlike those I felt some years ago in September, watching the towers burning, and then falling.
I spent much of that day sitting with my father while he waited to hear from doctors on the prognosis regarding spreading Cancer. I could see in his face the same sense of dread and fear that I felt.
My dad did not survive 2001, a few days ago marked the 15th year since his exit.
He never saw the aftermath of that day.
Today, Watching how we are changing as a nation, I envy him.

All this really is taking on the image of a runaway train. The way the intelligence community with the assistance of the mainstream media including the conservative biased NY Times and Washing(ton) Post are attempting to box Trump in. Neo liberal media like Salon are jumping on this train as well. How faithful are Trump's supporters is the key question. A certain number have already defected by feeling deceived. Feeling? Hell, realizing! But then these are seasoned and politically savvy - intelligent people, no? Just ask any one of them, they'll tell ya. :wah:

The technical term is "vomit-inducing", starting with the damned costumes.Don't neglect to mention the exploitation by parents of their daughters to express their own political bias (and ignorance). A shameful act in itself. Conservatives pull this sort of ultra controlling crap all the time at HS sporting events as well by making the players pray on the field and recite the National Anthem. Indoctrination, pure and simple.

As of 2016, there are 5 girls in USA Freedom Kids: Alexis, age 8, Bianca, age 11, Izzy, age 11, Sarah, age 13, and Victoria, age 12. - Sarah wasn't in the January 13th performance.

It's just my opinion I think your republic is at greater risk now than any time in it's history. Immense social divide, majority of the population feeling disconnected from those who govern them and economic and siocial tensions tearing the place apart with a political system that means the majority of the votes are actrually ignored (biggest fault with a first past the post system) and a populist seeming to act to redress grievances but actually acting for their own interests. The republicans are every bit a ruling elite as the democrats look at who trump is appointing what their first targets are and tell me how you think that is going to solve anything or make america a better place. You're going backwards.
Russia and china are pissing themslves laughing.
On the other hand this will perhaps politicise people as never before and get people engaged in politics and voting as never before social media make a big difference so overall I am quite optimistic but you now have a prident that thibks g-he is above the law and can do what he wants, should be interesting.

I note that President Trump seems not to be receiving the traditional hundred-day honeymoon period, he's being battered mercilessly before even taking office. The outgoing Vice-President, for example, described him yesterday as "mindless".
Out of interest, do any American Democrat supporters have a bad word to say about Huey Long? He seems to have a blackened name but I'm not sure how that could be justified.

I think what we're witnessing is overt coordination between the military complex; the intelligent community and the corporate media. Media outlets on the conservative side such as The NY Times; The Washington Post; CNN, et al - and on the liberal side; MSNBC; Salon; Mother Jones et al. to lame duck Trump before he takes office. When Trump said he wasn't going to accept daily national security briefs, he pissed these agencies off. I think Trump believes (and I agree) the briefs in question serve to keep the president paranoid enough to allow the agencies to control policy to a large extent.
Very interesting to watch. I can't even imagine the pressure going on behind the scenes. It must be insane. We're watching an honest to goodness power play in the works right now.
In my view Washington bureaucrats run the risk of legitimizing the anger that got Trump elected and winning over people like me for Trump with this sort of display. Trump's tweeting is what is making this all public, as it should be. He's a pretty smart guy.
Rather than lying down Trump needs to continue to communicate with his supporters any way possible.

According to John McCain, "There is no national security interest more vital to the US than the ability to hold free and fair elections without foreign interference".
Is this smug exceptionalist suggesting America has never interfered in the holding of free and fair elections abroad?
Why can these dreadful people never hold a mirror up to their own conduct and ask whether it's acceptable one way but not when it's incoming? No country has interfered more in the holding of free and fair elections since the war than America. It's what Americans do to foreigners.
If a Russian intelligence agency did in fact take and distribute the compromising emails showing that the NDC colluded to have Hillary Clinton selected at the primaries then that agency should start a crowdfunding page so I can make monthly contributions. There's a lot more I'd like to hear about that nobody else would tell me.

We have pushed ourselves out onto the world stage and made them all sit up a take notice. I'm not so sure Trump is as much of a wacko as people are hoping - that people hope he is though is quite troubling. So far in some ways he's been brilliant. It's funny that Americans complain about politicians and when an outsider get elected they get right to trashing them too. The alternative was a mass murderer. You would have preferred that?

I've seen it claimed many times, but I beg leave to express my doubts. Civilization might be put back a few years if the entire world arsenal went up one day but that's my estimate of the consequence. Yes it would kill a lot of people. There might be no Luxembourgers left afterwards. Global warming would be set back twenty years. The human population would stabilize at a tenth of what it is today. There would be unhealthy places to avoid.

More a case of I question his stability and his ability to react to a situation rationally rather than emotionally - no need for a secret goal for him to do a great deal of damage.
