Another really off-the-wall British comedy that I absolutely loved was Green Wing. Don't know if that's available to rent but it was really original in the way it was filmed with speeded up links between scenes. It was set in a hospital where pretty much everyone was a nutter. Great stuff.

Ellen Degenerous has a guest band on her show called Train. They're singing their new single called "Cab". :driving:
Why would someone want to glorify their direct competition? :guitarist

Good one Acc.
I love Train - Their album Drops of Jupiter is superb. Me and my brother recorded a cover of their song Mississippi off it
And I love Ellen.

I just watched "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" and I can strongly recommend it if for nothing else than the beautiful city of San Francisco. If I ever win the lottery, I'm moving there.
Id really like to see San Fran.
I love their rice !!!

randall emerging from hibernation,
I am bogged down by random thoughts.
Some cal it procrastination. Others plain laziness.
Occasionally a dreamer.
Without fail and especially when trying to tell someone something my mind will most certainly drift onto another theme entirely/
i.e. I have just noticed that the ABC Spelling Icon has appeared on this post. Long time since I saw it.
I can usually find a tenuous if not tortuous link - like going through a maze - to see how I relate the two subjects but no one around me every seems to think that there is any connection whatsoever.
There is a story - probably from the "Readers' Digest" ah la 1940's/1950's of a man who in the nineteen-thirties worked out that a very big war was coming - like millions of others.
He sat down with a map and searched for a place to move his family to so that they would be safe.
He eventually moved them all lock stock and barrel to an unknown island lost in the Pacific Ocean named Guadalcanal!
On the recent programme about the Dunblane massacre (1996) in Scotland where sixteen very young children and one of their teachers were shot dead by an unbalanced ex Scout Leader - They ejected him and warned authorities
One poor man who had lost his wife to cancer the year before and now lost his only child, a five year old girl who had only been six months at school, told on the T.V. how they picked Dunblane because it was a quiet. safe, sleepy borders town with friendly inhabitants as a good place to bring up their family.
Immediately I thought of the other man in the 1930's and told my wife but she railed on me that you could not compare the two.
I can and do!
Am I a random thinker or a horizontal or vertical thinker?
Sometimes I am driven to think I am just an odd ball?
Random thoughts please?
God bless.

Does anyone else compulsively obsess about the icons on their pc ?
Making sure they are perfectly even and spaced exactly right so they all line up in military order at attention and crisply awaiting your command. If one is a millimeter off balance Ill know it from the next room. I seem to spend some amount of time arranging and rearranging them.
Or am I in trouble here ?
