I always think that the people who are not computer literate are so unlucky. they do not even know what they are missing. :sneaky:
Did you ever send dirty pictures ? :sneaky:

I only have one experience to respond to this question.. and it was a whopper. Travelling to England, alone to meet my online friends. It was a 100% positive experience. Just people, regular people. For some reason, I never experienced one moment of fear when I was preparing to go. Well, I do know the reason... I have an inner co pilot who guides me. Bez and I were roommates for the weekend.. it was like sharing a room with a dear friend who I had known for years. Just two women. Theia had me as a guest in her home for a week. I was more concerned with her trusting nature.. than myself. I sent her names phone numbers and adresses of all my relatives.. to protect her. Although my finances were limited on that trip... had I found myself in a crazy situation, I would have been able to simply dissapear into the crowd, and come home. But again, my instincts were all good and that circumstance never crossed my mind. Now, on the other hand... this was an extrodinary group of people. The best of the best. there are people Ive observed on this forum... ( which is the only real internet experience Ive had) who I wouldnt walk to the corner to meet. I guess Ive just lived long enough and interacted on every level, with enough people, to know what Im doing. I do worry about young people who are looking for love, or soul mates. Who do not have enough life experience to recognize the profile of a disturbed individual.

The one and only time I met an online friend, was a guy who lived in the same town as me...he took me sailing. It was fun.

No, but one of my friends who is a Muslim would get really turned on just by seeing my knees while I was in a dress. And my eyes too. And he'd never seen red hair before so that he really liked too. I guess just the whole picture was too much for him, as the women where he lives in Saudi are all covered up from head to toe. He also had a webcam, and he'd do things such as ride on his exercise bicycle so I could see him. Or show me what he'd buy. I got to show him what I'd recently sewn. And how my room looked and sometimes my roommates would walk by and he'd see them too.
He is now married and his wife is completely covered up. But sometimes he'd take his matters into his own hands while we were chatting (if you know what I mean) and it pissed me off. Good thing he is finally married.:wah:
My other friend is not married and not a Muslim but he was not as......horny as the Muslim guy. But he didn't have a webcam, darnit!:sneaky:

Wow, MrsK - I had a bloke from Tallinn, Estonia staying here for a bit the year before last. We'd met yonks ago when the Internet was new. Nice bloke but not a close friend. He was backpacking around Oz and NZ. Interesting!!!
