What a load of cobblers you can change a solicitor at any stage of your case as he works for you if you choose to drop him and apoint another it is your choice. i do not believe for one moment that social sevices are completely funding your parents lifestyle and also be careful if you can afford a private investigater to snoop on social services your not intitled to legal aid .-

if your solicitor is doing a c**p job just drop him like a ton of bricks at the end of the day you choose who represents you and ya'v gotta be sure they're doin a good job of it............... Your solicitor should have also appoint'd a barrister to represent you in court if they havn't you should be askin why not
