I am trying to answer your question about when the crisis began. In your short post there are two(2) errors................knowing when you were in school might be able to pinpoint the start of this crisis.

I said that for comedy affect, you seem to like my puns.

But what would you call it when education professionals, or employers, or school leavers..........fail to educate....or.....fail to find literate staff to employ......or fail to read and write enough to advance their lives ?.......in that order.

It was Unreported World which said education in the USA is in crisis. My posts may be short, but so was the UW story which is no longer available.

So there is a problem in Detroit. Detroit is not a small city. Is the YOUTUBE example representative of the whole city, much less the state?
