Apparently Vanessa............... like her or loathe her has suffered a backlash for daring to speak. Vanessa Feltz ????????

That alone could have got him an Insanity plea.

Out the woodwork they doth come,

with gossip a plenty, no longer kept Mum,

Hoping for limelight, they spout their vile.

To hog the spotlight just for a while.

Maybe a few quid, they may earn,

Off the back of the victims before they learn.

Vulgar and crass, they give not a jot,

hoping for the lights and maybe a spot.

One thing I learned also about my experience was the amount of people who crawl out of the woodwork to get a spot In the limelight. Even my revolting neighbour tried worming her way Into relatives cars so she could arrive with the main party each day at court and the waiting press... vile.

If Vanessa Feltz was Indeed manhandled by Harris, then It goes back to what Peter said earlier In that everyone who knew and kept silent Is as guilty as him.

If she had spoken out at the time, the later victims may not have become victims. She has added to that culture by keeping quiet and In effect allowed him to continue.

I see Theresa May Is now warbling something about making It a criminal offence not to report abuse.... If that's true then quite right.

The trial is over, he's guilty, he's gone to prison and now she crawls out of the woodwork with her morsel to get on Breakfast TV. Now she's whining about the backlash and blames misogynist men for trolling her on Twitter. From what I saw, many were women.

I just don't think there's any need to come out now. She should have come out, If It's true, when It happened and possibly saved future victims. Put It this way... If your daughter was abused, how would you feel, If someone came out and said after the trial... ' Oh he abused me also but I never said anything?'

He's In prison and he can't answer back and his victims are probably furious at her silence... She takes to twitter to then turn the whole sorry sage Into all about her....too right she's getting a backlash..

This on today's news says the case will not be submitted to the Court of Appeal:

BBC News - No appeal over Rolf Harris sex offences sentence

However, the first passage of this article puzzles me...

Rolf Harris's sex offences sentence will not be referred to the Court of Appeal, despite 150 complaints over its "leniency", the attorney general's office has said.
'Despite' leniency? Surely that should be 'Because of' leniency?

that would be "Despite the complaints" of leniency.

But then, unless I completely misunderstand how your court system works, I would think that the appeal must come from the defendant, as it would here. And if the sentence is lenient, were I the defendant, I would think it wise to shut up and take it.

Can the prosecution file an as appellant on British court of Appeals?

Ah, yes that was probably it.

Under British Law it is possible for the prosecution to make an appeal to the High Court for a sentence to be reviewed if it is felt to be unjust - an appeal that can be made either way (for an increased or decreased sentence), but it has to go through the Red Tape & be referred there first.

I was naturally assuming that an appeal was coming from Rolf Harris & his legal team as standard procedure.

I thought the wording seemed a bit odd.

I heard that Cliff Richard is also having some legal problems. Anyone know more about that?

Only him, his alleged victims and like minded cohorts.

Google Elmhouse, Kitty, Cliff Richard, if you have five minutes.

My gut feeling he is yet another strange fellow, maybe that is why people start rumours about him......then again who knows ?

All the others that have had accusations made of I have been able to well believe the claims & not been in the slightest bit surprised. Cliff, however, I have a different feeling about. I have no doubt that he is an uncloseted left of straight, but if anything that makes him even less likely to be a child molester.

He is just one that I find it difficult to believe of. If it happens that the claims are proved to be true, then he would deserve everything he gets, but if not I hope he sues the accusers for libel.
