Most of them would need to become members in order to post in the thread, but once here, they may just look around like I do when I am drawn to other sites through a share.

And all of them took me to sites which demanded I sign up with them. What in God's name is the point of the damn links? What are they for?

You want ForumGarden to carry the icons so as to post ForumGarden material out onto other sites. All this while I thought you were showing a mechanism to push material from other sites into threads on ForumGarden.

I suspect it's a matter of adding the icon and a hyperlink carrying extra URL details to each thread, yes.

I think that's the way to go, I'm prepared to approximate the current aesthetics, not to lose any threads and to keep as much of the rest as I can. I'll also commit to leaving the existing site read-only but online



for a couple of years for anyone who wants to ferret out oddments I've not succeeded in transporting across. I'll also commit to leaving the games in place.

It's a decision for the site owner eventually, but a few comments here at this stage will be helpful. And by all means offer alternative systems to migrate to.
