On slavery?

Yes god alowed it in the bible ashe knew this world was to do it any way so he set rules in place about it such as not to make slaves out of your own race accept in rare occassions for short perriods.

Does God agree with slavery ? No as in the future When God rules the earth with a rod of Iron it says EVERY MAN WILL SIT UNDER HIS OWN FIGTREE. which means no slavery in Gods world to come. Now we are in Satans world where men will make slaves of men.

Here in west africa in my opinion Slavery is promoted and kept and even their own tribes are enslaved . I just witnessed a Gambia flagged Fishing boat hire a Danish captain for a salery of almost 20,000 dollars a month . 14 Gambians are each paid 140 dollars a month on the same vessel. and the Gambian goverment is ok with this . the total Gamian crew gets 1% of the stock of the vessel and its their ocean teritory.They are made to sleep away from decent accomidations , they cant even afford to leave the ship and have to find their own food.

Here Togo bar girls earn 40 dollars a month and have to pay transportation and lodgeing and food . Their only chance of surviveing is to try do prostitution on the side. They are worked 12 to 18 hours a day and mostly can only hope they can get a chance of doing some prostitution to get food. I saw one sick with malaria forced to work breaking out in sweats , the same girl use to beg me to leave left overs on the side of my plate as she mostly ate when scarapping the dishes off if their was some scraps left >GOD KNEW WHAT US MEN would do to each other so he set rules for Isreal.

Some employers are very rich but still pay extreem small wages to their own peoples.

Almost all west africans are in reality slaves , Ive had many many come tell me if a slave ship was to come drop anchor in the harbour to take them to be slaves in America there would be much fighting to get on it. that has been told to me over and over again here in west africa.

In the current economic climate he's the only one can afford to....Sorry. Couldn't resist.

I'll put my hands up straight away - I am not really qualified to argue on this subject (but it won't stop me trying - this is the internet after all) but I seem to remember Christ not being a fan of the Church in his day. Nor was he too popular with it. They did arrange his crucifixion apparently. He wasn't keen on money lenders in the Temple either. Can't see him as a slaver either.

Problem seems to be that people read books, created by men (with or without Divine inspiration) and use those books as either a crutch to prop up their own theories, or a stick to beat others down. Either way people were intrinsically involved in producing the book. In my limited experience this means they will balls it up. They will change bits to suit their own ends.

They will change the order of things either deliberately or by mistake. They will let their concentration wander and make errors. When the first printing presses came out there were a number of really interesting Bibles created. For example the "adulterers Bible" where it stated that thou shalt commit adultery.

Basically - If you believe - you do so because you have Faith (with the capital F). If you do not have Faith you do not believe. Logic has nothing to do with it. A logical argument will therefore be inconclusive.

How come the bible is the reason your a born again Atheist; why can't the reason be whats in your heart, or your mind, or just the way you are yourself. Why must blaming the bible be a conversion process for the Atheist?
