My goosenecks opened last week, the deep green leaves against the white flowered necks look stunning!

Those plants spread quite rapidly, but I have enough space for it to grow.

white

Nights in white satin, never reaching the end,

Letters I've written, never meaning to send.

Beauty I'd always missed with these eyes before.

Just what the truth is, I can't say anymore.

'Cos I love you, yes I love you, oh how I love you.

Gazing at people, some hand in hand,

Just what I'm going through they can't understand.

Some try to tell me, thoughts they cannot defend,

Just what you want to be, you will be in the end.

And I love you, yes I love you,

Oh how I love you, oh how I love you.

Feeling a little Moody Blue. Not really. Just thought of this song.

Moody Blue

Well, it's hard to be a gambler

Bettin' on the number

That changes ev'ry time

Well, you think you're gonna win

Think she's givin' in

A stranger's all you find

Yeah, it's hard to figure out

What she's all about

That she's a woman through and through

She's a complicated lady, so color my baby moody blue,

Oh, Moody blue

Tell me am I gettin' through

I keep hangin' on

Try to learn the song

But I never do

Oh, Moody blue,

Tell me who I'm talkin' to

You're like the night and day

And it's hard to say

Which one is you.

Well, when Monday comes she's Tuesday,

When Tuesday comes she's Wednesday,

Into another day again

Her personality unwinds

Just like a ball of twine

On a spool that never ends

Just when I think I know her well

Her emotions reveal,

She's not the person that

I though I knew

She's a complicated lady, so color my baby moody blue,

Oh, Moody blue

Tell me am I gettin' through

I keep hangin' on

Try to learn the song

But I never do

Oh, Moody blue,

Tell me who I'm talkin' to

You're like the night and day

And it's hard to say

Which one is you.

I wore a summer dress to the office the other day. I like the dress, but it does reveal a bit of my cleavage. I don't feel comfortable with that. Hubby laughed and commented, "They can look, but they can't touch." :wah:

This summer has been the hottest in 15 years, the heat and humidity goes on day after day. I am very fortunate to have a/c in my home and my car, some don't have it and are suffering, especially the elderly.

It's hard to believe that people used to live here before they had air conditioning. My boss told me they used to soak the sheets at night so they could sleep. It's 105 degrees at 9 p.m.

along

"There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief,

"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.

Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,

None of them along the line know what any of it is worth."

"No reason to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke,

"There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke.

But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate,

So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late."

All along the watchtower, princes kept the view

While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.

Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl,

Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl

Jimi Hendrix sang it.....Bob Dylan wrote it.

two

It Takes Two

Artist: Marvin Gaye

HER: One can have a dream, baby

HIM: Two can make that dream so real

HER: One can talk about bein' in love

HIM: Two can say how it really feels

HER: One can wish upon a star

HIM: Two can make that wish come true, yeah

HER: One can stand alone in the dark

HIM: Two can make the light shine through

CHORUS (BOTH):

It takes two, baby

It takes two, baby

Me and you, just takes two

It takes two, baby

It takes two, baby

To make a dream come true, just takes two

HER: One can have a broken heart, livin' in misery

HIM: Two can really ease the pain like a perfect remedy

HER: One can be alone in a car, on a night like these all alone

HIM: Two can make just any place seem just like bein' at home

(chorus)

(instrumental)

Just takes two, just takes two

HER: One can go out to a movie, lookin' for a special treat

HIM: Two can make that single movie somethin' really kinda sweet

HER: One can take a walk in the moonlight, thinkin' that it's really nice

HIM: But two walkin' hand-in-hand is like addin' just a pinch of spice

(repeat chorus and fade)

From Three Dog Night

One

One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

Two can be as bad as one

It's the loneliest number since the number one

No is the saddest experience you'll ever know

Yes, it's the saddest experience you'll ever know

`Cause one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

One is the loneliest number, worse than two

It's just no good anymore since she went away

Now I spend my time just making rhymes of yesterday

One is the loneliest, number one is the loneliest

Number one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

One is the loneliest, one is the loneliest

One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

It's just no good anymore since she went away

(Number) One is the loneliest

(Number) One is the loneliest

(Number) One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

(Number) One is the loneliest

(Number) One is the loneliest

(Number) One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do

grant

God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference.

And here is the rest of the Serenity Prayer:

Living one day at a time;

Enjoying one moment at a time;

Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

Taking, as He did, this sinful world

as it is, not as I would have it;

Trusting that He will make all things right

if I surrender to His Will;

That I may be reasonably happy in this life

and supremely happy with Him

Forever in the next.

Amen.

"What A Difference A Day Makes"

What a difference a day makes

Twenty-four little hours

Brought the sun and the flowers

Where there used to be rain

My yesterday was blue, dear

Today I'm a part of you, dear

My lonely nights are through, dear

Since you said you were mine

What a difference a day makes

There's a rainbow before me

Skies above can't be stormy

Since that moment of bliss, that thrilling kiss

It's heaven when you find romance on your menu

What a difference a day made

And the difference is you

What a difference a day makes

There's a rainbow before me

Skies above can't be stormy

Since that moment of bliss, that thrilling kiss

It's heaven when you find romance on your menu

What a difference a day made

And the difference is you

:) An old love song........

away

Go Away, Little Girl Lyrics

Artist(Band):Johnny Mathis

Go away, little girl, go away, little girl;

I’m not supposed to be alone with you.

I know that your lips are sweet,

But our lips must never meet.

I belong to someone else and I must be true.

Oh, go away, little girl, go away, little girl;

It’s hurting me more each moment that you delay.

When you are near me like this,

You’re much too hard to resist.

So, go away, little girl, before I beg you to stay.

(Instrumental interlude)

When you are near me like this,

You’re much too hard to resist.

So, go away, little girl, before I beg you to stay.

This

Dean Martin.

Memories Are Made Of This.

Sweet, sweet memories you gave to me

you can't beat the memories you gave to me

Take one fresh and tender kiss

Add one stolen night of bliss

One girl, one boy

Some grief, some joy

Memories are made of this

Don't forget a small moonbeam

Fold in lightly with a dream

Your lips and mine

Two sips of wine

Memories are made of this

Then add the wedding bells

One house where lovers dwell

Three little kids for flavour

Stir carefully through the days

See how the flavour stays

These are the dreams you will savour

With His blessings from above

Serve it generously with love

One man, one wife

One love through life

Memories are made of this

Memories are made of this.
