Nevermind my previous post. Yes, the humidity here at times, in Illinois, at 85 F is like a sauna. Matter of fact, I think it was Wed of last week, temp was about 70 outside but the humidity was about 95%. I could hardly breath out there. It was like trying to take a breath underwater. We had a nasty storm coming in as well. At least it was the edge of a cool front that cleared the air.

Depends on what your doing for the day..
today - cleaning, I usually live in my bathing suit - take a dip come back into the house damp/cool..
heat knocked me out today - had to nap..
some days I can just act like I'm on vacation
I still live in a bathing suit all day, take a dip, throw a skirt/shorts on and ride my Golf Cart to the store etc..
August is a very humid month - hate it..... Good time for a Vacation..
I think the only way to handle this heat is to have your own pool
	it's instant Air- conditioning..
only @ 3- 4 months of adjusting - not bad out of 12
all in all - I wouldn't live anywhere else..
It just seems HOT instant HOT - nothing gradual any more...
Patsy
	Kathy - thank you dear...

I only use my kitchen oven maybe once @ week.
this morn. I baked a ham & @ 15 potatoes, a loaf of bread and breakfast muffins.
all done by 10:00 a.m.. yeh..!!!
15 - potatoes for company, NO - 2 for tonight and the rest will be
	Potatoes skins later.
	10:00 a.m. and it's 90 degrees
There's a OVEN outside - 106 degrees today usually by Noon...
I'll just be in & out of the pool
and if one does not have a pool - you hibernate
as one does in the very cold winter area.
I hope I can last this summer..??

I'm in the desert, but this June has been very undesertlike. Yesterday we were in the high 80s with a half inch of rain????????? Normally this time of year, we are 110+ degrees. Don't tell me climate change isn't happening. We need a hot summer to have a good monsoon season to kickstart the flora to survive the dry fall/winter. So far that isn't happening and I won't get good wildflowers now.
Besides that... 80-90F temps mean the pools are too cold to stay in long.

wow, your norms are way down for the desert, as our were this entire spring, we have never head a spring so cold, I loved it for a change, but every year is always different everywhere so I don`t blame in on the earth changes as since I was a little girl, every season has been different.
