I must be a Persian cat too then.

My company's accountants got back to me today with a solution regarding the tax due. They will be recalculating my monthly reports from last August which will reduce the tax bill significantly. It's amazing what accountants can do when they think they might be losing a source of income.
That's the first step. I now need to take a look at my current bills and find ways of reducing these. Though, I think I have less leeway here.
My personal accounts only go back to March 2007. As there was a break in my accounting while I didn't have access to my computer, I cannot find out why I am struggling now. It's been a struggle since I moved to Leeds (not helped by having my car vandalised within a fortnight of moving here).
When I lived in Bedford, I was financially comfortable. Nothing to write home about but I had money left over. My bills now are not anywhere near what they used to be when I lived in Bedford and the difference in pay rates between the South and the North does not account for the difficulties I'm experiencing now. I wish I could draw a comparison but the accounts just aren't there. I never imagined that I would need them anymore.

I always remember one of my accountancy tutors at Uni saying 'It's not what it is...... It's where you can put it.
Advice that left me in good stead when doing my own profit and loss and balance sheets as well as family.
Rule number one......... Have you thought of every thing that you can claim as tax deductable? Even say, suits that you had to wear to business meetings.
I really hope things work out for you. I didn't get chance to comment on your thread as i think some-one pulled the plug. Glad to see you here....... keep us up-dated.

Expenditure claims are all covered. This business with the tax bill has set me wondering why it ever occurred in the first place if it wasn't necessary.
They have not long got over the changes in the law governing umbrella set ups.

Unfortunately, Persian cats are bred deformed and i abhore the people who inter breed them. They have no lips and often just a small hole instead of a mouth, hence the dribbling. They also have barely any nose and their nasal passages are pushed to the back of their heads.

I did not know that. I find that despicable. I thought that sort of thing was illegal now.
