18 month wait for a surgery repair in the State that's called Medical Malpractice. Why would they make him wait that long and suffering all the time? :-5:-5Well he didn't answer my last text trying to cheer him up saying its a lucky number also so he may be in Surgery now.

The 18 months came about basically because of the treatment he got from the doctors....it wasn't the right treatment and had to insist after months of wasted treatment to be sent to the hospital. All this takes times here and in the meantime he went through so much discomfort.I just am grateful Carla that he wasnt sent home today as so many are over here because that empty bed is never found.Im so annoyed though that when we rung asking if he could come a little later than 7.30am they said no and the hassle it was sorting out how he would get there and he got there and just sat and waited.....hungry and thirsty for 5 hours.

Carla, it should be called that here as well - it is disgusting and cruel. But it is called the National Health Service - funded from our government with money they receive each week from the working public, so that anybody who needs medical treatment do not have to pay, because they have already been paying for it ! I believe that if NH weekly contributions by the public, were put into a fund specifically for the use of NHS instead of being added to the general coffers, the UK would have the finest medical facilities in the world. This is also true of the police funding. If fines etc. were paid directly into a specific police fund, then the UK would have the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art technology, vehicles and man-power in the world.

But they don't, so the NHS is knackered, and the police force is fighting a loosing battle. But then, that is what is happening in the UK - everything is taking a dive!

Thank God and I knew he would be okay Carolly. You both will feel better after a good night sleep. He sounds down because he misses you and he is scared that this time they didn't get it right either. I know in my heart that they did all it's all uphill from here Carolly. You have to be the happy one after hearing this wonderful news. There is nothing but love here for you and Chris and love heals everything. God didn't put you two together for no reason. He put you together for a lifetime Carolly. I'm so happy I would even try jellied eels right now :wah:

Love to you and Chris :-4

TM and Shell :-4:-4Oh I know theres so many people out there with much worse problems and I should be thankful its nothing life threatening and to right I am but he has so much on his mind also at the mo and I worry about him feeling so down also.Im not going into detail here but to say his been through alot lately would not be untrue. We all come here to get away from our RL problems dont we.....sometimes we manage that when good friends like you guys are about and other times we wonder why the hell we put ourselves through the grief we may encounter online.I am very lucky to have certain people here I know I can turn to and have indeed turned into RL Friends even though we may never meet...if that makes any sense at all.

Anyway thanks again my lovely mates and know when Chris sees this thread it will bring tears to his eyes as it has mine with the love that is shining through.:-4

Hun, everyone has they're own major problems. We all experience nervousnes, scared, worry and all those other feelings. Some problems may seem to be worse than our own, but that doesn't make your feelings and problems less than others...just different circumstances. I send my :-4 to both of you.

Carolly you and Chris are in my thoughts a prayers. I hope they got it right this time its not that difficult of a surgery. He needs to rest and heal properly and hopefully be home soon. :-4 :-4 What is the amount of time they are saying he needs to be in the Hospital??

I'm angered that he had to wait 18 months for the repair that is awful by any standards. I would raise hell once he is home and get to the bottom of why this is happened. No excuse for someone to have to suffer that long for any reason. But then again we have a totally different Medical delivery system in the US so I should just keep my big mouth shut. ;)

Just stopping by to see how Chris is doing today. I hope he's not in much pain. They discharge early here as well Carolly since beds are scarce. Most patients recover quicker when they are in their own home. I know after I had my operation, I couldn't wait to get into my own bed. I will check back later to see how things are going.
