Well I think, personally, that stats don't mean as much as what they do on the field...For instance when a team is sitting on top of a big lead they tend to emphasize more so on passing defense which in turn enables opposing teams to get substantial yardage running the football(Am) ultimately being sacrificed for chewing up valuable clock time.

After the year is over we'll look at the numbers and take into account teams played at the same time in how they'd won or lost...

From an athletic and tactical standpoint I stick by my original statement that Baltimore's defense is and has been the best defense consistently through the NFL for the past ten years. They're just a defensive team and Superbowl XXXV serves as the epitome of that statement I think.
