I lost the $100 yesterday when I went to 5 and 10 bucks. :wah:

I always split 10's and win on both! Works for me anyway, or just plain lucky doing it.

Oh, I will remember those rules. My odds went down in blackjack, and I can't play the slots on the old laptop so I don't try them.

When you double down you have the potential to increase the profitability of your hand by doubling your original bet when you believe you have a good chance of beating the dealer's hand. When you decide to double down the dealer will only give you one more card and you may not ask for another once you decide to use this strategy.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind with playing Blackjack, btw:

1) Stand if you hold 12 to 16 and the dealers up card is between two and six.

2) Hit if you hold 12 to 16 and the dealer shows a seven or higher.

3) Stand if your count is between 17 and 21.

4) Always split pairs of eights and aces.

5) Never split tens, fives or fours!

6) Double down on 11, unless the dealer shows a 10 or an Ace.

Try and roughly follow that and you should do fairly well.

( Mind you this is coming from someone that has lost over $30,000 since the casino was installed on here.)
