Well I'm a very old Yank and I have never liked Oreo's or Hersey Bars. :-2 Much prefer a homemade "Chocolate Chip Cookie" no nuts in it. And "See's" Candy or "Doves". :D

I have tried a relatively cheap package of chocolates that would equate to roughly about a 1/2 of the price higher than your typical Hershey's bar by weight and I have to tell you they were well worth it...Very good associated with the price...

They're called "Merci" chocolates...German chocolate...

I don't know of those ones, I have tasted some kinda Chocolate from San Fran, and they were pretty good I have to say. I would advise you try "Green and Blacks" from London, "Leonidas" which are Belgian Chocolates, or you could try some of our own "Butlers Irish Chocolates" which are not bad at all.

In Europe we consider Belgian Chocolates to be the best for some reason, though Swiss, German, and French chocolate is all very good, and there are some decent British ones as well. We are a continent of Chocoholics essentially. When we reach peak chocolate production globally we are in big trouble. :D

I'm not a big fan of chocolate so I can't say that the name sounds familiar in respect to chocolate...In fact, I can't say that I recognize the package that I've seen in one of the photos on the page from which your link has provided me with...

I would love to try some though...

Well I think you're going to have to compete with the Germans in that regard...If I'm not mistaken I believe it was in and of around the time of the 2006 World Cup that I read that Germany was the world leading exporter of chocolates...I can't exactly recall the numbers...

I'll definitely keep an eye out for those you've described...

I think thats the reason why they are not going so well over here. No offence to our American friends but your chocolate kinda sucks. Now Tim Tams rock, they are a great biscuit.

Now in the name or research I am going to have to pop to the local milkshake bar as they sell a lot of american sweets including Oreo's and buy a large selection to test. Although not Hearsey bars (Yuck!).
