FOR EVERY ONE THAT HAS LOST SOME ONE THEY LOVE :-4

Death is not the end

Death can never be the end.

Death is the road.

Life is the traveller.

The Soul is the Guide

...

Our mind thinks of death.

Our heart thinks of life

Our soul thinks of Immortality.

More Than This

Bryan Ferry

I could feel at the time

There was no way of knowing

Fallen leaves in the night

Who can say where they´re blowing

As free as the wind

And hopefully learning

Why the sea on the tide

Has no way of turning

More than this - there is nothing

More than this - tell me one thing

More than this - there is nothing

It was fun for a while

There was no way of knowing

Like dream in the night

Who can say where we´re going

No care in the world

Maybe i´m learning

Why the sea on the tide

Has no way of turning

More than this - there is nothing

More than this - tell me one thing

More than this - there is nothing

Goosey, goosey, gander,

Whither shall I wander?

Upstairs, and downstairs,

And in my lady's chamber. There I met an old man

Who wouldn't say his prayers!

I took him by the left leg

And threw him down the stairs.

This is going in my time capsule if I ever get one.

Bum, bum, bailey, O!

Two to one, the barbel O!

Barbel, O!

Barbel, O!

Bum, bum, bailey, O!

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,

Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,

Silence the pianos and with muffled drum

Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead

Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,

Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,

Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,

My working week and my Sunday rest,

My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;

I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;

Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;

Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.

For nothing now can ever come to any good.

LOVE'S PHILOSOPHY

By

Percy Shelley

1819

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

&/&/&

The fountains mingle with the river

And the rivers with the Ocean,

The winds of Heaven mix for ever

With a sweet emotion;

Nothing in the world is single;

All things by a law divine

In one spirit meet and mingle.

Why not I with thine? ---

See the mountains kiss high heaven,

And the waves clasp one another;

No sister-flower would be forgiven

If it disdained its brother;

And the sunlight clasps the earth,

And the moonbeams kiss the sea:

What is all this sweet work worth

If thou kiss not me?

Dont leave altogether Joan please xxxxxxxxx:-4

And i love that song too, the last time i sang it was at a Gala Night at Kempton races ( think it was Kempton) anyway after the races ther was displays by the Queens horses, cannons being shot etc. and we all sang along to some very patriotic songs, and Green and PLeasant Land was one of them. We had our little union jack flags and waved em like mad, it was a really fun night and left us feeling very patriotic indeed:D

Joannee;704767 wrote: This one I remember so well from my school days.

And did those feet in ancient time

Walk upon England’s mountains green?

And was the Holy Lamb of God

On England’s pleasant pastures seen?

And did the countenance divine

Shine forth upon our clouded hills?

And was Jerusalem builded here

Among these dark satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!

Bring me my arrows of desire!

Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!

Bring me my chariot of fire!

I will not cease from mental fight,

Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,

Till we have built Jerusalem

In England’s green and pleasant land.

Excelently performed by Emerson Lake and Palmer - an event recorded for posterity by Richard Thompson in his song Jerusalem on A Juke Box.
