The only place with (perhaps!) a worse local accent is Manchester. That's
taking the entire *world* into consideration.

If you're talking about ready cooked meals - they are seasoned to appeal to mass tastes and so often tend to be insipid
Re Worcester sauce, I never use it - it's too dominating a flavour.
As to the pronunciation/spelling - you'll get used to our quirky ways!;)
I wasn't being "blunt"!. WRT Worcester sauce, you can stick it in some
tomato juice. Neither can spoil the other. If you must, you can add vodka,
if you make the mix strong enough, it'll render you past caring before the
taste can blight your life!

A mug holds at least 2/3 of a pint (if not a full pint) - a beaker only holds 1/3 of a pint

Hmm, the boats on the BCN were made by Brumagem Boats and it's always been Brum as I've heard it.
I thought Bairminggum was how the denizens of Wulveramtn said it.

Nor that one either) in the picture, sans handle.

Out of all the lot, I'm a bit worried about Koan - she's a bit too active tonight! Go and have a cup of cocoa dear, and have an early night. I think it's that cat that's got you worked up.

I agree that that's annoying, Novelty, but I know I've done it myself and when I do, I think it's acceptable (well, I would, wouldn't I?). But it's not acceptable when I want to be serious! Maybe we could all learn to be more respectful when we know that a particular issue is close to someone's heart and that they're passionate about it?
