I'd forgotten about beautiful art. I wept when I saw the Taj Mahal and that wonderful emerald-covered dagger at Topkopi Palace in Istanbul!

I wept when I was surrounded by elephants on my first trip to Africa and I'm misty-eyed now, remembering it.

Have you read "The Agony and The Ecstasy"? If not, you should. It will give you a new appreciation for Michelangelo's work. An outstanding book.

Good idea A-Z! I mentioned La Pieta and how could I forget the Sistine Chapel?

Hallmark commercials do it for me too. Let me add Little House on the Prairie reruns as well.....

Pulling out old photo albums does it to me every time. Seeing us all as kids with our parents and now of us when our own kids were little. Something about the cycle of life that chokes me up.

Ah memories

I darn well cried when I went to pick up the ex's dog from doggie jail because when they took me into the section of jail he was in I came through a set of glass doors and I could see the cage he was in, his back to me and he was just a quivering as there was awful loud barking all around him. I knelt down to touch him and when I saw in his eyes he recognized me I bloody cried.

Good on you Minks for saving that dog!! :-4

Believe me, animal workers are softies too. It hurts me terribly to see wrong done to an animal but if I'm in the trenches with them, I feel I'm doing what I can to help them. You helped in your own way by rescuing that dog. :)

I'm off work today with a bad back. As I couldn't do anything I just watched the afternoon movie.

Although it's old, I hadn't seen Terms Of Endearment before. Oh boy - I had the watery eye at the end I don't mind telling you. I'm now busy clearing my throat and acting butch.
