Well having been to Arizona, I can safely agree with you that it is extremely hot all the time out there. Speaking of which, I remember you mentioning about breaking some kind of record for the number of days you had without rain. I'm assuming that is broken right?

That's good to hear, always nice when after such a long hot, dry period that the rain comes to cool things down, just like it has done here today, though it would of been nice if all the rain didn't come down at once, and rather in spells.

That's true, your body must have adapted to the heat, as you live out there. I know when I visited, it was such a huge shock to me, as of course we get nothing that hot over here, even on really hot days. Perhaps the same could be said if you came to visit over here, I wonder what you would think of our weather.

Well I can only really speak for where I live, and not for places up North in Scotland that have always been known to be a lot colder than down South.

Here we usually get a whole mixture of weather. Spring is usually nice, not too warm, with some sunshine and occasional rain, but then this year Winter carried over into Spring, and we were getting snow instead of the sun.

Summer is obviously the hottest time, when the days tend to be very hot with little cloud in the sky, or very wet days, when you just want to stay indoors.

Autumn things cool down, but we have been known to have some really hot days at times. And during Winter, the temperature can get really cold, and it will snow and cause frost a lot.

So to be honest I would say that it's somewhat un-predictable over here. You never really know, what will happen, you could have a hot, sunny morning, then have a wet afternoon, and have a cold evening. You certainly have to be on your toes when you are over here that's for sure!! I'm sure you would notice a big climate change over here, and I think you would really like it, would make a nice change for sure.

So what seasons do you have?

Do the leaves not fall where you live?

Oh yes they certainly are beautiful sights, though sadly we don't get as much snow as I would like here. I don't suppose you have seen a rainbow in ages!! I love rainbows. :)

Oh I know rainbows always put a smile on my face. I used to spend so much time drawing them as a kid, and being fasicinated by the mixture of colours, not to mention always hoping to find the end and that legendary pot of gold hehehe.

Ah that's really sweet! I've always had this interest in the weather, that's why I always enjoy looking at thunderstorms, snow, clouds, etc, they always intrigue me, and having so much different kinds of weather over here I'm lucky enough to see them.

Oh they are a lovely sight indeed, and even though a thunderstorm woke me up in the early hours of the morning, it still was really great to witness it, and it was really close as well. I also really love nice sunsets. We don't get many over here, but sometimes we do and they are beautiful.

WE had a thunderstorm yesterday morning ....a kind of mild storm....but one of the lightning flashes was a really loud crack....apparently the 'signal box' at our local railway station was hit...that's about half a mile from me.

We had a puny thunderstorm yesterday and it's been overcast ever since...but...NO rain when we desperately need it even though it's been forecast.:(

We need to pipe down some of your water...I don't think it'll be long before we're using 'stand pipes'....blimey...I'll be down to the river to wash the clothes next.:D

To save all the explanation about it and where to find it, feel free to click on the link provided below and have a scan. I have seen many estates like this one, but this is well worth seeing, the inside as well as the outside are breath-taking!;)

It looks fantastic. Too far for a day trip, but maybe a weekend visit.

Ha ha...I live near the mouth of the River Adur...it would be a bit salty too....
