Geez, I just checked & didn't tell you about the biotech company. They make test kits for all types of medical tests (hemoglobin, etc.) I interviewed with them for warehouse manager yesterday, and they extended the offer today! $$$

The lead came through a temp-to-perm recruiter. The company wants me to start Monday, but I begged off another week so I can see if the furniture company makes an offer.

When I told my temp boss, he told me I can have a permanent job with him if everything falls apart.

MMmmmmmm - a hot tub among the Texas oil wells, BJ - , complete with armadillo on the half shell barbies, enormous steaks, cars stuck in fields, and wonderful hospitality. ( A few of my memories of Texas... I'm trying not to remember being chased by a twister there..) I'll bring the ice cubes.

Well, I went to the furniture retailer interview, but couldn't get them to commit, so I accepted the warehouse position. It's temp to perm, and several steps back from what my skills can handle, but I now have steady work!! :yh_dance :yh_party

Guys, thanks for all your support. I'd have gone nuts long ago if it weren't for you. 14 months is a long time without steady work.

And Chonsi, as soon as I'm up to speed on the new job, I'm checking on an online teaching gig as well. :-6
