I guess since you joined, all debate has been rose petals and peeled grapes. Go to other forums as a guest and I'm sure what goes on here will appear tame, in comparison. Go Forum Garden!!!!! :guitarist :guitarist

Hey creamed beef, you seem to be getting a rise out of everyone lately. Ive been to the other forums, I was admin at one of the worst. You can debate all you want but you seem to be rubbing people the wrong way, just a suggestion, perhaps you might consider a new approach. No shame in making a slight adjustment.

More unfounded statements without any basis in fact. How about some post numbers and thread titles where those posts appear?

P.S. With that pedigree, you could be a Forum Garden moderator. But there are too many psuedo-moderators already.

No problem, Nonads. Just treating others the way I've been treated. They call it the Reverse Golden Rule, I believe.

The decon team all had homes to go to and their work was done. My neighbour has been struck down by some mysterious illness though.
The microwave is still on active duty and only brings the incident to mind when it's opened. Fortunately, I haven't developed an aversion to wheat bread...just butter

You know, Chip, when you first came here (and it wasn't long after I did), I felt sorry for you. Your first couple of posts, I felt were taken the wrong way but you bounced right back and made a joke and things went on their merry way.
That happened to me on another forum. On one of my first few posts I got into a debate over the war and was sliced and diced for my opinion. But I was new and they thought I was a troll. So, I let it go and didn't feed the fire and just started talking about other things and soon they saw that it was a fluke and I meant no harm. I stayed with that forum till the end.
That is why I mostly stay in the background in the forum and come up for air when someone makes me laugh or makes me itchy. You make me itchy. I think you could be a real asset here and I think most people would like you if you didn't like to bicker so much. True, I haven't read all your posts but I have seen how these good people go from being pi**ed at you to sharing a joke with you, and not at your expense.
Take a deep breath, let it go, place no blame, and just have some fun. I haven't been here long but these are sweet, funny, clever and caring people that would help you in any way. If you feel you must bicker, surely there's a forum out there for you. This is only my second forum that I have joined but I've seen some weird ones out there. I think you could be an OK person and it's OK to have a difference of opinion, just not on every subject.
Hope to see you around.

I appreciate your thoughts and agree with much of what you stated in your post. I just know that such inspired and spirited debate is nothing new under the sun, especially when it comes to Internet discussion forums.
I could be wrong, but I would imagine that is one reason why there are so many categories on this forum, which is one of the things that drew me here to begin with. It's not one big forum, but rather broken down to allow a better exercise of our constitutional right to freedom of expression without stepping on someone elses toes. Is that going to happen from time to time anyway? Of course. Does that mean we tuck our constitutional rights into our back pocket and hide? I would hope not.
Just my opinion. No offense intended, meant or directed towards anyone. :yh_hugs

I'm sorry if I was too harsh in my post. I may have been a slight defensive, all prior things considered. Again, I apologize. No offense intended then or now.

I routinely use deep breathing. I was doing that before I joined this forum. I've used that during my time here. I've been having fun ever since I joined this forum. It might not fit the definition that others hold, but it doesn't have to. God, I love America.
